Re: Mafia Rules Thread
.... I wasn't a bad guy. You weren't there, you might want to stay out of it if you have no idea what it's about??

Re: Mafia Rules Thread
They're talking about events from the Thing Mafia game we played.
The bad guys were headed by an alien who gets to bodysnatch a person each round so everyone was paranoid since allies could stop being allies at any moment.
Angrist was the seer and BAB was the guardian. But, BAB also had the power to gain other good special's powers if those specials died.
Angrist Seered BAB who told Angrist about his second (secret) power of power leeching.
Angrist got nervous that the aliens would get him and they'd be doomed. So he outed BAB in the thread and got everyone to vote him out of the game. I think Angrist might have outed himself as the seer at the same time.
So they voted out BAB, destroying the humans' best shot at winning the game and creating the most hilarious self inflicted boning in any GT mafia game.

Re: Mafia Rules Thread
Nono that's not exactly how it went.
Yes, I seered BaB, I knew I could trust him, he trusted me. I don't remember if I knew about him getting the other powers too, but I don't think it mattered.
Suddenly BaB didn't trust me anymore, got the mob to vote for me. In the last hour or so, I came out, told them I was the seer. I didn't trust BaB anymore, thought he had been converted, so I told them he was the guardian. I hped the mob would change the vote, but alas, I got killed innocently.
It turned out that BaB was still innocent too, the Thing got him in the next round.
BaB was pretty angry at me. I felt pretty stupid, but I still stood by my decision, from my point of view it was the best thing to do. And yeah, it was pretty interesting. Was Vampyr the last one alive, and I think he was the original alien (the dog)?

Oh yeah, hahaha.
Professor S was the original alien.
And there were two aliens left at the end of the game. I can't remember who the other one was though.

Re: Mafia Rules Thread
And this is why I can't be dishonest in the games, everyone expects it from me.
As for why, I wanted angrist gone as Dylflon mentioned I gain powers so I wanted Angrist dead to consume power into one being that I could trust. Yes, I can be selfish, but hey I wouldn't have outed myself!
Of course, anyone would get upset if someone decided to burn the house as their dying wish. There were other ways for him to go about it without outing me completely.
Whatever, what's done is done.
But when does this game begin?

Re: Mafia Rules Thread
I'm writing the opening narration right now. Game will start when it's up and the first round will last for two days.
Clarification:
In game posts have to be on topic but that doesn't mean that they have to contain theories or what have you. It can be silly posts like "This is getting spooky" or "That's the last time you accuse me, you poxy whore".
Just as long as the post isn't about something else entirely.

Re: Mafia Rules Thread
Sounds like a pretty intense game of mafia.
My local friends are useless at mafia. We get together and whenever I try to set up a more complicated game (I.E not just mafia, sheriff, doctor) they get totally confused. *sigh*
