Well that sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me. If there isn't an attack because we are over there, it can never be proved thats the reason so then there is no reason to have troops there. Its cyclical logic. Also, we were convinced that there would ever be an attack on US soil before 9/11. See what assuming gets you?
Me? I feel safer taking the fight to them than just continuing to be a punching bg as the West has been for the past 30 years prior to 9/11.

And over 400,000 have been found in mass graves (estimated total of over 1 million), killed by their own leader who we removed from power. I think thats a pretty good trade off, don't you?
