Square is not supporting xbox. Thats why. The FF11 thing was a rumor (and frankly its been almost a year and no info on that matter, it seems square just forgot it).

Actually I think it's merely aimed at anti-Nintendo people more than either Xbox or PS2. It could be aimed at PC guys too if you think about it. Still funny anyway. I showed my friend (hardcore Xbox fan) that pic and he was laughing his ass off.
