A German who had his lower jaw cut out because of cancer has enjoyed his first meal in nine years -- a bratwurst sandwich -- after surgeons grew a new jaw bone in his back muscle and transplanted it to his mouth in what experts call an "ambitious'' experiment.

That's a great story and testimony for why stem cell research should be given the green light, it's giving a man a second chance at life. It's said before the transplant that he was sick of living, and now thanks to science he can enjoy life again.

Sounds great that this experiment was a success. If I ever had a situation come up where I could be put almost normal again if I gave doctor's some of my stem cell's and grew the thing inside me, I'd gladly let them do it.

Wuss.

MY jaw's been dislocated for four years.

I wonder if this could be used to make new uteruses. Then my woman could have kids.

Your like a walking sack of sympathy arnt you?

And it couldnt be dislocated for four years. Nobody is that stupid to not get it re-aligned.

How do you eat and talk? Do you not eat either? Are you going to drag sympathy out of that too?

EDIT: True, he has no teeth, but i guess that pales in comparison to having a jaw again.

Typhoid, when will you learn?

I only got it fixed recently because the insurance company finally viewed my mouthpiece as "necessary for sustaining quality of life" or something like that. My family isn't rich like yours. We can't blow 1,500 dollars on a mouthpiece. It's not stupidity.

Furthermore, I didn't know it was dislocated until about 6 months until I went for the MRI that told me so. I could still eat, it was just painful and sometimes made a loud clicking noise.

For the first month I had my mouthpiece in, I could only "eat" Slim-Fast shakes or anything liquified. It was super-fun, no sarcasm. Oh wait.

Typhoid, why don't you educate yourself before coming and attacking me? Look up temporomandibular joint disorders. You might learn something.

Wow......my god.

Educate yourself by knowing what free healthcare is. Canadians have it. So me being rich has nothing to do with it. You might learn something.

And if you just got it fixed, why did you make it sound like it was still dislocated?

"MY jaw's been dislocated for four years. "

Leads one to believe it still is.

Maybe wording like " My jaw was dislocated for four years."

English is fun.

I really hate the fact, for anything to be taken lightly with some people you have to put a "" beside it somewhere. people need to lighten up. I wasnt knockin you in any way at all.

And what exactly do you mean "When will I learn"?

What exactly are you talking about?

And my jaw makes that loudd clicking noise all the time. Ever since i was 12. I can pop it in and out. ( i dont plan on doing it, it just does it) I went and its not dislocated, i just have a sh*tty jaw.

And before you say im trying to compare my problems with yours, dont, because im not. I dont like to post my personal problems on a forum of people i dont know, it makes me come off as lame and pathetic.

But lets not stray too off topic here, threads do that so much it gets annoying sometimes.

1, I live in the U.S. Healthcare is not free here.

2. My jaw is technically still dislocated. It is being fixed, but it will never completely be back in place until about 5 years from now. I'm still healing.

3. I need to lighten up? I made a post, a comment, that warranted no response like yours. I was making a joke, a ha-ha, a comical reference to a similar situation that I'm in right now.

4. If your jaw pops like that, you should see a specialist. Going to the normal doctor didn't diagnose mine, I'm assuming if you didn't go to a specialist then they might not have told you. I think it's 1 in 5 people that has some sort of TMJ problem.

5. Lame and pathetic? You're always the one attacking what I say. First it was the Jesus being a woman thing and now this. I'm not being pathetic. I'm defending myself. I don't think the statement "MY jaw's been dislocated for four years. " means I'm telling you to be sorry for me.

Sure, you weren't "knockin" me by telling me "Nobody is that stupid to not get it re-aligned.". What do you call that, then? Constructive criticism?

Back off and pick your battles, kid. You won't win this one.

Haha...I like how you called me kid....your only one year older than me. It brightened my day.

I said the Canadian healthcare thing because you told me your not rich like me so you cant throw around money. And i was saying it doesnt matter, because I dont have to pay the money to get the same thing done that you did.

Where did I say you need to lighten up? Please, show me where i said it. I said peopel, which is a generalization. I was showing my displeasure for the fact that if you dont have a it is taken seriously.

Again, i never said you were lame and pathetic. I said i didnt want to post my problems to a group of strangers, because i would feel lame and pathetic.

Who said this is a battle?
Are you going to "bust out" your supreme skills at arguing?

And I argued with you over 22 things. That hardly counts as "always attacking what you say"

But like I said 2 posts ago...this is off topic, So im done. I dont want to be the partial reason a thread gets closed.

But im done, this is a stupid thing to be talking about.

Sleep is good.

Its illegal because it can lead to cloning, and its considered unnatural by those who voted for the law to be passed. I'm personally all for it, giving people second chances is something i think should be done.

Thank you.
