I, Robot
Starring Will Smith. It's a about a robot that breaks one of the 'robot laws' and kills a human. So, then Will plays the prosecutor who wants to try the robot for murder. I believe there's actually a book or an article that was written a long time ago about the robot laws, which this movie is based off of.
1. Robots can't hurt us.
2. They must obey us.
3. ?
The third law hey have in the movie isn't what the real law is so if anyone else knows what it was, just post it. Anyway, it looks pretty good. The robot is scary, both his appearance and his voice. Definately makes for a good killer.
Here's the trailer place: http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/i_robot/
Ok, nevermind, here's the info:
Quote:
Will Smith stars in this action thriller suggested by the classic short story collection by Isaac Asimov, and brought to the big screen by dynamic and visionary director Alex Proyas ("Dark City," "The Crow"). In the year 2035, robots are an everyday household item, and everyone trusts them, except one, slightly paranoid detective (Smith) investigating what he alone believes is a crime perpetrated by a robot. The case leads him to discover a far more frightening threat to the human race. "I, ROBOT" uses a spectacular, state-of-the-art visual effects technique to bring a world of robots to life.

Re: I, Robot
Sounds similar to one portion of Animatrix. A robot killed a human, i believe by accident, and he was tried for it. Then the other robots started following along and you know how it turned out
But when I get home, I'll check out the trailer for it. I think I heard about this movie at sometime before, but I dont think I saw a trailer for it.

Re: I, Robot
Is it just me, or is the Large option not loading right? Medium works, but Large just sits there on the very first frame and goes no where.
But anywho. Cool trailer. Why can't they release it right around July 4th? Will always does well with a movie released around the 4th.

Re: I, Robot
Large worked for me yesterday.
Anyway, the movie looks a bit... Will-style. Lot's of action, cheezy story (though it could be good!), not-so-funny jokes.

I really like Will Smith
I used to watch Fresh Prince all the time. Actually, I still watch it when I get a chance.

Yeah, the trailer looked pretty good, but I think... the whole MACHINES TAKING OVER getup is getting played up and washed up.
I hope theres something to this movie that differentiates it from the Matrix.
Other than cheezy looking robots?

Re: I, Robot
ProjectEden, Your gonna have to remove 1 of your images in your sig. The second one is too big but the first is fine. Remember the rules

Re: I, Robot
ProjectEden, does it really matter whether the robot looks cool or not when it could easily serve you with it's eyes closed in hand-to-hand combat?
