Greatest Guitarist of All Time?
Who's the greatest guitarist of all time?
**I voted for Jimmy Page, although I think Jimi Hendrix is just as good...

Phil Keaggyis one of the greatest right now. I don't know if he's of all time, but right now he takes all both acoustic or electronic.

I think that Page and Hendrix tie... But I voted Hendrix because :
he played amazing guitar while singing... Page only played
he has crazier live stuff. Damn he can shred.

Sorry, however Kirk Hammett from metallica takes this. Hes the guy that does alot of the solos and also alot of the picking parts in songs which are extremely hrd, and are played fast. Hendrix is great, don't get me wrong, but in my opinion hes jsut not as good.

All of those guitarists are great, but Jimi takes the cake.

There is a HUGE contest. Jimmy Page is amazing... I mean amazing!!! That was really a hard decision for me to make.
Well... It wasn't really hard... Just had to think for a moment.

Hendrix... he could make any guitar sound good.... if he were still around today he could even make a squier strat sing!... his playing was great, not least because he could play some pretty soulful stuff.... playing fast and shredding (80's lycra rock!) just isn't cool IMO!.
Also Hendrix managed to sound good with an upside down right-handed strat that went out of tune through excessive use of the trem bar every 5 minutes... also becuase it was way before floyd roses were invented to prevent tuning problems, he was way out of tune in most live performances, but still managed to make it all work, and sound amazing too

Um? No... Hendrix and Page all the way. I don't even see how you can compare Hammett with Hendrix and Page? I just don't.
