Rebel Strike Reviewed!
Well, cube.ign.com has been reviewed and they gave it an 8.3. Although that is not an exceptional score, it was all due to the third person missions. They said that the flying and co-op missions are awsome, and that the sound is excellent. The only thing that brought it down was that the third person play was a little "clumsy". I can see this, as i played the demo and the foot mission deal was a little...different. Anyways all in all this is a great game, and ive got it preordered, so ill be picking it up soon. Feel free to leave your own impressions if youve picked up the game!

Re: Rebel Strike Reviewed!
I'm still debating whether to get it for Christmas or not.. this score is kind of depressing. I'm thinking 1080 Avalanche or F-zero instead.
But 8.3 is very good, and I'll be sure to pick it up as a rental.

Re: Rebel Strike Reviewed!
well Game informer said it was the biggest dissappointment in video game history, and gave it a 6.3. So I'm picking mine up tomorrow, I guess we'll see.

Hm I never was too excited about this game. They should have stuck to flyer and walker levels I think...
Some levels are simple platform games.
But I'm sure it will sell.

I don't know... I think that was them being overly dramatic. Gamespot gave it a 7.8 which is equivalent to IGN's 8.something (they use different grading methods if..you didn't know...or something).
Play Magazine (?) gave it an A-. IGN gave it an 8.3. I haven't read anyone's reviews yet except for IGN's, and they said that the actual flying parts and vehicle stuff is all great, better than RSII. The only thing that brought the game down was the on-foot stuff so...

I wasn't the biggest fan of the previous two incarnations of the series, and both actually got quite good reviews- Rebel Strike has gotten much worse critique than either of them.
EGM gave Rebel Strike 7.0, 7.0, 7.5- they pretty much said it had good graphics, good audio, good flight combat, but repetitive gameplay, and horrible on-foot missions.

Re: Rebel Strike Reviewed!
Interesting. When I played the demo, the foot missions seemed kind of meh also. But as long as the anticipation of getting back to the flying levels keeps me going, I'm good.
A rental will be good, and a possible buy if the co-op missions are fun.
