True Crime: Streets of LA
What do you think of True Crime? A GTA rip off, or a better version of GTA with a new scenery. I personally think it has POTENTIAL to be better than GTA, the question is whether they can pull that trick off. It would need sharp graphics, nice cars, no limits and some serious violence. Im looking forward to getting this game, i watched some EOD training stuff at the site www.truecrimela.com and its fukin sweet. What do you think??

I think it looks great... the only problem is that I don't want to be a Cop, I'd rather be a bad guy.

Hope it fairs better than all of the rest of the "GTA Clones" that have surfaced thus far....

Its OK, LAPD cops can be pretty bad. Did this guy get kicked off the force? He must be pretty violent. Thats like getting kicked out of chruch for singing the songs to loud.

If you ask me, TC is a bigger badder GTA, with sharper graphics, bigger raoming space, and similar action. I like it. !

according to ign, you can be good or bad. If you shoot people before they start shooting at you then you lower your karma, and if you are nice and don't kill innocent people than you get good karma...which changes the course of the game, and ultimately the ending. I'm looking forward to this.

To add to what you said, yes and you can steal cars, shoot civilians, do what you will, same as GTA, there are videos and new info on IGN. heres the link. http://cube.ign.com/

Re: Re: True Crime: Streets of LA
I played this game on the demo disk in this month's issue of OPM. It's pretty good. I liked the one on one fights, jst because it is basically like an added fighting game. I am not a huge fan of this game, but it does look damn pretty.
Oh, and I noticed that when I was running people over in the streets, there were little red negative numbers. I guess that had to do with my karma, lol.

Re: Re: Re: True Crime: Streets of LA
Sorry for bringing this up but I just have a few questions.
1. Is this game exclusive for the GC? (Well, it IS on the GC board)
2. Do you have freedom like in GTA3 and Vice City?
3. Can you just go around town killing people, stealing cars, going on top of roofs, and etc...?
4. Do you guys have any really cool info you would like to share? I read some of the demo impressions, but what makes this game so cool?
Thanks, this game looks awesome.

Re: Re: Re: Re: True Crime: Streets of LA
1. This game is not exclusive to GCN. It seems that when threads are made about all-console games in the PS2 or Xbox forums, they go to the Dungeon. But if it is in the GCN forum, it stays. So do not be misleaded.
2. From what I played, yes.
3. From what I played, mostly yes. But there is a negative/positive karma thing.
4. dunno
