Hmm.....

This guy is an idiot. Instead of camera systems, they should concentrate on making a decent fighting game

Well considering they sold well over a million copies of their last fighting game, I don't think they think they need to make any improvements.

I think its good to include the secondary "stick" as a camera control in a game like this. Even if they say their camera is "perfect" there will still be people who hate it. Nintendo even allowed for you to move the camera in Wind Waker even though the camera was pretty damn good to begin with. (A few spots I needed to move it, but hey, nothing is perfect) But maybe this will be a decent game.....

No, they don't NEED to. But them not making improvements reflects the amount of respect I have for the developers. Bungie COULD have just released another Halo with online gameplay. It would have made them millions richer. Instead, they threw their 2003 release date out the window and dedicated themselves to making a completely new, improved sequel. Same goes for the Gran Turismo team with GT4. These people take pride in their work...obviously they're ultimately looking for the big money, but they also want to make the best game they can possibly make on a personal level.

Well its all relative. I'm sure Team Ninja (it is Team Ninja right?) believes their fighting engine is excellent and only needs to be updated for the next DOA game with new moves. After all, their opinion is backed by over a million poeple who they think agree.

When all is said and done, this is a business and Tecmo (it is Tecmo right?) is a third party developer. Third Party developers are FAR more profit minded than 1st party developers like Bungie who are owned by Microsoft. Thrid Parties are smaller and depend much more on their games making a lot of money than massive corporations that can take a hit by investing a lot more money in making drastic changes like Bungie can.

Also, Halo is the XBox's flagship. I'm sure Microsoft is willing to put up as much money as Bungie wants to make a jaw droppingly fantastic game. Tecmo may not feel they can afford to absorb all the added overhead when their engine they have right now is proven to a massive profit.

While this may not be the ideal situation as a gamer, in the long run it is the most beneficial for us. More profits=more games No profits = no games

Besides, I like the engine.

Yeh. I guess those double D cups are marketed toward the right audience.

As for the fighting game engine, well I'm sure it's not that important to the players. As long as you fight and do moves that look good (with great graphics), and obviously flawlessly looking women, who cares about balance in its engine.

I kind of like Team Ninja my self at lest there interviews are fun to read. And as for DOA being that bad a game it is not by a long way in fact the biggest problem with the game is there just too little it! They really do need to add more arenas and fighters to there game’s which the next one seems to be doing (thank god). People seem to put Team Ninja down far too much why people do this I don’t really know cuss there aren’t really that many 3D beat um ups better then DOA3. And let’s not go into the piss poor job Namco did on SCII! After playing the SC and then SCII back to back I can tell you I think the Dreamcast version of SC is by far the better game.

You're right. That game is beyond all measures of repair.

Why did it sell a million copies? For the same reason "Debbie Does Dallas" was so popular back when it debuted.
