Help Please (Internet Explorer)
I went to this bodybuilding supplement website, and browsed in a couple of sections. I do not want my parents to know that I am thinking about purchasing some supplements. My obly problem is that now whenever I type "n", in the searchbar, the website name pops up!
I do not want my parents finding this out, so is there a way to delete these things? Thanks in advance.

Tools, Internet Options, Clear History. That should work. I can't remember how to clear the toolbar (unless that does it too).

tools, internet options, delete files, the be sure to check the box that says delete all offline content...I think that might have something to do with it. Maybe not.

I take it you don't look at pr0n, or you should be a pro at this
First thing, if you have any plans of purchasing supplements, your parents will eventually find out, so why hide it? And if you're not, you have nothing to hide.
Since you are only thinking about buying them, what's the harm in your parents finding out? From the sounds of it, you think your parents would be against it, and I don't blame them. But if you're only thinking, you might make the smart choice and decide against it. It's always a possibility, I don't see why your parents would be against research.

If it's still there, there's one more answer.
The page bookmarked itself. It might not be in the little slide out bar either. You have to go to your favorites folder and find the site and delete it. You're probably going to have to do that every time you go to the site.

Heh, there seems to be a lot of people that are familiar with deleting their history. Hmm..

I know Netscape 7 has the option to clear the location bar, but does IE have it? If it does, that would help Joeiss more.

I saw this on techtv: My Privacy. If that doesn't work, nothing will.

there is also one other BS solution...
find another site... any site, that appears "harmless" It doesn't matter what it's for, as long as it begins with the same first few letters as the site you visited and the first letter that differs is alphabetically before the site you are tying to hide.
For example, if you went to www.supplement.com (no clue, jus tmade it up). You could visit www.supersale.com. That way, whenever your parents typed in www.sup... supersale would come up. Just pick something that wouldn't be suspicious....

I'm not sure but this might fix it as it worked for me in IE 5.5, is to go to content in the internet options and I clear the autocomplete history and uncheck the autocomplete boxes.
I did this as it was more annoying to be typing in a address and it would complete a addresss for me that I didn't want.
