My advice: Don't let him use your computer ever again.
And unless the word "porn" is in the file name, your not going to find it in a search. Search all your jpg files.

Why don't you just do a find file search on *.jpg
I tried that and it worked for me.

If you're going to go looking for pr0n, do yourself a favour and don't use internet exploiter. Or if you do absolutely insist on using it, disable javascript, active scripting and above all else ActiveX. This'll stop pr0n sites installing applications to your computer and all the other horrible stuff they tend to do.
Maybe I should also mention the pop-up blocking features of Opera and Mozilla...
Of course, this won't stop web bugs, but then nothing can. Like I could give you a URL that would will your cache with any picture I wished and there'd be nothing you could do to stop it, it's a great way to get people sacked

Fantastic! You can get your entire family to stop using internet exploder.
As far as spy/adware removal progs go, there's AdAware or the far far better Spybot which should safely remove most nasty apps from your PC. Virus protection is good for trojans etc etc, but by far the best way to prevent this stuff ever occurring is by the use of good browsing habits. If users are stupid enoug to click "OK" on every dialog button that pops up on the net, then you may as well give up now.

Oi!
Whilst everone knows I'm no big fan of M$, I'll have no usurping of my Linux 733t-ness
Actually, scratch that. If you can afford it, buy OSX, or if you think you can handle it, get Linux.
Just remember. Anything M$ certified = sucks.
If it's any consolation, you v=can get a mozilla (runs on Windows, OSX, Linux, everything) skin that makes Mox indistinguishable from IE6. You can even get GNOME/KDE skins that make Linux indistingusihable from XP. Or even MacOSX, if you're like me

Dictionary quote:
A dialer is a very small program, often installed using the ActiveX technology Dialers often promise access to free porn, free games or free cracks for commercial software. Once installed, a dialer offers to use your dial-up device to call in to the service, usuallycalling a quite expensive toll number. Some dialers explain the costs of the connection they will be making, like it is required by local law in some contries, but many dialers just display a button offering to connect, without informing the user of what is happening behind it. In the worst case, the dialer sets up the expensive number as the default Internet connection meaning the user will have to pay high rates for being online, without even knowing it until recieving the next bill.
but since you said you have cable, you may not have problems with them unless you connected with dial-up sometime later.
The free Spybot program can detect Dialer's if thats what you were asking for in finding this programs
