(DON'T MOVE) Skies Of Arcadia 2 CONFIRMED

Now leave it in THIS forum since it's unkown to which platform it will go to.
Although I think it won't be the Gamecube because the game didn't cough up more than 30,000 sales. So PS2 would the definate target... Speaking of the X-Box we can only speculate.

I don't know about the 30,000 sales thing. I haven't seen one copy.. maybe they didn't make enough. Or something.

Well, the game has sold something like 50,000 copies on the Cube counting Japan and the US. And for the most part that is with limited advertisement, sales from the Us for only 3 days and so on, but as for which platform the game will go on, I still think that the cube is the platform or it may even be mutliplatform, but I still think if it's exclusive it will go to the Cube.

the GCN version didnt even make 30,000 sales? can't be, there had to be more than that. Regardless, good news indeed. I look forward to hearing more on this.

People I remeber that SOA sold around 21,000 units 1 WEEK after release. I was SCHOCKED... I knew the sales would be bad... but not THIS bad.
Well even if it did sell 50,000 by now worldwide... it's STILL extremely low. At lteast on the PS2 they should be able to get around 300,000-500,000... and if Sega asks Sony to push the game it will sell well.

Well, I don't know how people claim this, I mean there are games that have sold better on the Cube than their PS2 counterpart, so even if the mass majority sell better on the PS2, it doesn't mean they all will.
And can we just look at the facts surrounding SoAL sales:
-It was a port of a 2-year old game
-It never sold too well to begin with
-Thus far, US sales have only been for 3 days, I"m not saying it will light up sales charts in the US, but I expect it will atleast break 100k before the end of the year
-Sega didn't advertise it any on TC (well, I never saw the commercial)

Yeah, gotta pick up on that advertising. I think that hit them the most. And the 2 year old port thing.

SOA was never popular on DC, I don't see why people expected hat to change. It gots its reputation from the people who owned it and praised it, the same way SOA:Legends does. You still can't expect it to be a big-selling game.

Don't know how true this is, since it seems to be the only site reporting the news, and it looks more like a translation error on their behalf (don't ask how you get English mixed up with English)

And, for the third and best part of the conference, Sega has OFFICIALLY announced that Skies Of Arcadia 2 is on its way to the Gamecube. If it is anything like the first Skies then I think it will be a huge hit in the gaming industry! So far, only Skies Of Arcadia 2 is confirmed. But don’t let that spoil your hopes of a Rez 2 and another Virtua Fighter!
