I'm shocked...
I got two new fighting games this christmas season.. the first being MK:DA. I'm sorry but this game handed Tekken 4 it's ass... for the first 5 days of having this game I felt like I was playing hte most polished fighting game of the year.
Then, I got the second game, DBZ Budokai... and right now, it's handing MK:DA it's ass. I was extremely shocked, with the scores the game got, I thought it would be below average in the gameplay department with DBZ faces tossed on it... I came to find out that it is probably the most strategic fighter released this generation. All the pre-match options are insane and the attacks are great. If you are/were a fan of DBA, I'm 1,000,000% sure you will love this game.
Just wanted to share that with ya'll, if the scores stopped you from purchasing the game, you didn't buy it for the wrong reasons.
Dont get me wrong, I still love MK:DA and Tekken... but DBZ is simply owning them for the time being. That game is so good IMO, IGN should be slapped for giving it that score. Maybe a person who doesn't know what DBZ is will not like it, but if you are a casual fan you will like this game.

I might rent DBZ Budokai, even though it received low scores, everyone is saying that it's way better than reviewers make it out to be.

How does MK: DA play?
I hired DBZ, played it for 5 minutes, turned it off. I should've played it 4 longa

Well, I played both games as well and IMO I prefer MK a so much more. I don't know I think the fighting system in DBZ:B too even on the normal setting. I mean it becomes somewhat even more one-sided when you start to custom the characters and if you play against a friend with no customized player that is kind of a guarnteed win, but I think they are both two good fighters just MK A got it beat by leaps.

Have you NOT played Virtua Fighter 4?
I hate DBZ, so there, but I do admit it turned out OK. Not a bad, stupid fighting game. I'd go so far to say its better than Kakuto Chojin by a fraction of a hair.

Virtua Fighter 4 is amazing...VERY strategic...and I don't think he has played it
I played Kakuto Chojin once. It's HORRIBLE. Worst fighter I've ever played.

If you're willing to sit with Kakuto Chojin its actually pretty cool. There are all sorts of weird counters and combos and such. Its got the makings of a great fighter with combat and such. If nearly as deep as VF 4...
Not to knock DBZ further but c'mon. You get a few fireball moves and a handful of different 2-3 hit combos. Its pretty simplistic. A bunch of dumb mini-games and a couple role play elements don't help.
As MK: DA. I actually liked the Gamecube version the best. It has the fastest load times and looks the best. The controls aren't nearly as good as the Xbox or PS2 versions but it works just fine.

Nope, still haven't played VF4... can't imagine it being much better than MK A strategically speaking.

I just copy my file to both memory cards... but either way, I haven't played many human vs human matches.
I can see how a person would say MKDA is better, I simply didn't have enough fun with MKDA after doing Konquest mode with every available character and not being to find ONE hidden character it the krypt.
Having to start Konquest all over was a bith, and killed the game right before DBZ came into my life.

yeah, I agree with you about the Krpyt. I mean it is probably one of the worse waysto unlock stuff in history. I mean 1 it's basically random if you don't use a guide or have someone point it out to you, and half of the crap in there ins't worht it. I mean how many comic book covers, concept ars and staff photos does one person need?
Also those high priced empty koffins are just evil, pure evil I tell you and that laugh.. ARGH
