I'm probably the only one here who cares, but I've been playing the EV games on my friend's mac for quite some time now, and although the graphics are always outdated and such, the gameplay is fairly simple and fun! And the game should be cheap... Hell, my friend gets it for free because on Macs he can easily get a serial number off the net and register it *shifty eyes*...
So far they're only releasing Nova (The newest game in the series... there are 3 of them), but I hope they release a compilation of EV and EV: Override or something... Override is the best so far, IMO...
But the games are cool, you get a ton of systems to travel to, lots of missions and such, a lot of ships, etc etc... you can make your money as a trader, or buy a fighter and go out and fight... or buy a huge ship with lots of guns and fighters you can send out to attack things... It gets repetitive at times, especially when you're saving up for a big ship or something, but even when it's repetitive I have trouble making myself stop playing

That's the buying screen thing... not only are there lots of different ships to choose from (those in that screenshot aren't the only ones), but there are a ton of upgrades and different weapons to buy... Even various Alien devices (and ships)...
yep yep yep I'm so excited now I get to play this game for hours and hours at my house instead of going over to my friend's house to leech off of him
