Default Justin's very short Smackdown 4 review

Presentation
For a WWE game, the presentation is outstanding. More arenas that I have eer seen in a WWE game, and theme songs to back each venue up. Intros are great, you can set up your own stables and have up to 3 wrestlers walk to the ring together. Before matches in season mode, you can explore back stage too! This is the closest thing to reality in the WWE wrestling game genre. 9.0

Graphics
When the camera is zoomed out, it looks a little better than WWE WMx8, and a little worse than WWE Raw... but when the camera is close, my god, you wouldn't think Ps2 is capible of this. Have you ever played one of those games where your parents would walk into the room and ask "is that a game?"... well, this one looks so real at times that they wouldn't even ask and they would assume you are just watching the show. Try staring Ric Flair in the eyes on the game, it will be scary when you see how real he looks. 9.0

Sound
Meh. The announcers don't talk much, and that's great if you ask me. The sound is realistic, like on intros, it's sounds more like real life instead of the crowd getting quiet to listen to the great music. Nothing spectacular here. 7.0

Gameplay
The basic game mechanics are back. No better or worse than WMx8 or Raw. The only big differences are the Referee AI (which is pretty cool), and the ability to take the cover off of the turnbucle. 7.0

Lasting Appeal
This game will last a true WWE fan for a long time. If you are looking to have any creative control over the story lines in season mode, you may be dissapointed. Also, if you don't like getting the hell punked out of you even after you win a match, this game may piss you off. But if you are in to good story lines, and being following the story you are dealt, you will love it.The match types are endless, and you can unlock more than enough venues to make a lot of fun out of the exibition mode. There are pretty much too many damn unlockable items, but it's better too many than too few. 9.5

OVERALL SCORE (not an average) 8.5

I've actually heard lots of good things about this game...but I've never thoroughly enjoyed a wrestling game, and I've played most of them.
