Default Nintendo allows demo discs

Quote:
According to our inside sources within Nintendo of America, Nintendo has given the green light to companies to distribute demo discs.

The first demo disc that will be released will be Resident Evil 0. It’s unknown if this will be the same demo released in Japan, and it’s also unclear how these discs will be released. These demo discs could be distributed free in stores, part of a pre-order deal, or even available inside game magazines. This is yet to be determined.

It is also unknown at this time if Nintendo themselves will be releasing their own demo discs. We're keeping our fingers crossed.

I don't think they can pull if off for free. Maybe at a retail price of $20 a demo. Sounds fair.

$20 a demo? the playstation underground demos have a **** load of stuff on them and they're only like $10. they should start something like nintendo underground, that would be the best way to hand out demos.

lol... 20 dollars a demo...

Hell, I don't even pay 10 dollars to buy those PS2 demo discs which have a number of demos on them... I'm a cheapo bastard and don't wanna play 10 bucks to play little bits and pieces of games that I might end up paying 50 bucks for later...

Not to mention some demos are unfinished... such as the RE2 demo that came with the RE director's cut... the final game was quite different in that beginning area...

Those are the kinds of demos I like though... ones that come packaged for free with other games...

20 dollars for one demo game is...well...a rip off.

I think 10 for about 3 (on one disc) is good.

Microsoft bundles demos with Xbox games... seems to work quite well.

OXM also has them.

Yeah, retailers could also give you a free disc with games, since they always give you free stuff. Like a bobble head, or survival kit. I think people would buy more games if they came with disc instead.

They need to make them exclusive to NP subscribers. They would have so many more people subscribe...

and I do mean ONLY NP SUBSCRIBERS.
