Default Top 5 Multiplayer games of all time.

What are your top 5 multiplayer games of all time? By that I mean, the 5 you had the most fun playing with friends, that being one on one, or 4 players.

1. Mario Kart 64. Some people didnt like this game, but I absolutely adored it. The single player was good enough, and the multiplayer absolutely kicked. There is no better feeling than hitting your opponent with a green shell right before they cross the finish line.

2. Mario Tennis. Pick up and play, but tough to master. This game was the perfect balance. From the cartoony graphics, to the great feeling of joy right after you just overhanded the ball right into your opponets face. Good times.

3. Super Smash Bros Melee. Fast and furious. Always a good time. So many levels, characters, and items. It never gets old.

4. Mario Party. While the board game parts were at times boring, the minigames never failed to be fun. You have to admit beating your opponet because you got the happening star was a joy.

5. Perfect Dark. The weapons, the arena's, the bots. Nice and fast, not to mention all the different variations of play, such as capture the briefcase and king of the hill.

1. Goldeneye: I didn't get bored with this game after 4 years, and none of my friends did either. I can still remember some of our battles when each of us had well over 150 kills each. No doubt about it...we still played this game more even after Perfect Dark came out.

2. Bomberman 2 (SNES): If anything comes close to Goldeneye, it's Bomberman. This is another game that me and my chums would play into the wee hours of the morn. It's combination of strategy, action, and puzzle were perfect, and still are. Great game.

3. Kirby's Avalanche: An awesome puzzle game. Although it was only two players, we still had fun trying to make and break big streaks. One of my favorite puzzlers ever, plus it had killer sound effects.

4. Mario Kart 64: This game gets props for having two different modes that were really fun. So, once you got bored with racing, you could go and play battle mode, brilliant. Both were equally fun, another classic.

5. Baseball Simulator 1.000: An awesome baseball game to have when you have 3 or 4 friends willing to make their own custom teams and play a full 162 game season (which I did). Crazy enough to keep you interested for that long, and basebally enough to keep you sane. Fun.

5. Counter-Strike (PC)
Although it was an internet game, me and my friends have had a lot of fun with this game. Especially when using 'Roger Wilco' or something like that: after the first one died, he would see where the enemy was and give hints to the one left alive.

4. Super Smash Bros. (N64)
I've never really played it with my friends, because they think it's 'kiddy', but I've played it often enough with my brother and some of his friends. Great game, although I still remember some guy that beat me with Pikachu. With Pikachu!!

3. Half Life (Decay) (PS2)
Decay of PS2's Half Life is so cool. Nothing better than taking out ugly Aliens together! And the fun we had with blowing up the guy in the wheelchair....

2. Golden Eye (N64)
2vs2 or free for all... what a great game! I always kicked their ass with grenade launchers in Archives, until they didn't want to use that weapon anymore.

1. Perfect Dark (N64)
I don't know how much multiplayer time we spent on this, but it has to be over 50 hours. To avoid fights with eachother, we played against bots most of the times. And the cooperation game was so sweet! Actually I've played it yesterday.

Secret of mana had something that other RPG's never had. The extreme fun of multiplayer! You and 2 or 3 friends go through an enormous Squaresoft adventure which plays like a masterpiece. SoM is my 3rd favorite game ever made.
