Exclamation Donkey Kong Racing and Coconut Crackers gone from Rare's site.

Guess they changing the characters for DKR and bringing to other systems. If you click the empty space you still get fowarded to the DKR page though. Dunno why CC would be gone. Unless they're making a 3D one with new characters and bringing to other systems.

It's all one big conspiracy. I heard it includes a rumor of a new canned meat product said to rival spam!

Hmmm, just noticed the GC and GBA icons are also gone from the site.

Plus the job descriptions mentioning no specific hardware. Just next generation:

Translated from a Spanish site:

Quote:
Thursday, 8 of August of 2002
Rare it has returned to do: it has erased all reference of his page Web of two of his games (as 1999 with Twelve happened in Such: Conker 64). Donkey Kong Racing and DK Coconut Crackers (for GameCube and GBA respectively) no longer are in the developing menu of games of the Web of Rare ... have been eliminated. You can see it by same you.

It confirms this that Rare is going to become ' third party '? Without a doubt this event supports this hypothesis, since strongly both games used the license Donkey Kong property of Nintendo that Rare has been exploding from the times of Super Nintendo. Nevertheless the company, as it happened in previous occasions with Conker or Dinosaur Planet, has not mentioned anything on the matter; both games simply have disappeared. Although so far Nintendo America continues maintaining both titles in its page Web.

It had been speculated already on whereupon Rare could carry out a change of licenses in Donkey Kong Racing to be able to send this game in several platforms, and in fact everything aims at that this is what is going to happen. A case similar to the one of Dinosaur Planet when it took the license from StarFox, only that with another reason that could be to send the game in other consoles (2 PlayStation and Xbox).

After this exclusive right Rare World, it shortly waits for new data about this event. Rare will not be able to remain shut up time much more after the happened thing.

Two things: You assume they are bringing them to other consoles and NOT gamecube (Even if they were porting it, why would they erase it? Maybe change a few things to "Gamecube, this, and this" depending on what consoles). Also this dosnt confirm anything like that spanish site says.

But the link IS there, as explained in my previous post. I couldn't have just typed in the URL.

Move your mouse between Kameo and Diddy and you'll find the link. It's very thin and doesn't take up the entire empty area.
