Default Best Controller?

No, this isn't about the feel or about looks. This poll is about how durable and lasting the joysticks are on the Nintendo GameCube, the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony Playstation 2. I want to know if either of these three joysticks suffers from the "N64-itus". If you are not familiar with this term, then you do not own a Nintendo 64. The joystick suffered serious durability problems, and as a result got loosened.

I just bought a new PS2 controller for my online games (I want to have a perfect controller, lol) and I found that there is absolutely no difference between my new controller and my one year old controller. I find this quite impressive. So for those who own any next-gen system, can you tell me if the joysticks are as long lasting as the PS2 Dual Shock 2? Thanks.

Well..My GameCube control stick is durable and i have had no problems with it, just like my PS2.

I do have on grudge with it. I use the C-stick for a lot of combo attacks in SSB: Melee. My black controller's C stick won't work when you move it to the left.

I have a N64 but do not know what you are referring to. Works fine still.

As for PS2, my friend's grip on it has gone down so that its almost perfectly smooth. Plus it has cracks and bits of broken off plastic around the joystick area. But that might just be the factor of him throwing it when he loses...

The controller that came with my cube has a good joystick but I bought another 1st party one with a much looser one. In edition to that the right shoulder button doesn't have as much as a click sound as the one that came with my cube.

I'm going with PS2 one this one. I've had the same controller from when the PS2 first came out, and its still in perfect shape.

I only have a gamecube, and I sure as hell have put it through a lot, working just fine, even no scratches, or anything.

Well, I have a black 'Cube controller that I've had since the system launch. It started getting a little loose with up/down movement so I called Nintendo(This was back at the end of April). But I have been soo damn lazy and haven't even sent it in yet. Already did once because of the B button becoming more stiff. Avid SSB:M players, you know what I mean. But I have a spice one now(since April 20th, remember it well because I bought it while in NYC). And its worked fine.

For the B button problem you can open up the controller and snip away some of the C-stick layering that goes near the B button.

They seem to have fixed the b button problem on the wavebird, or at least it dosent seem to stick like the other ones do. Anyways, my Gamecube sticks havent gotten any looser, but the one that came with my gamecube seems to have gotte tighter somehow...but it still plays fine...
