Yeah Gekko, I do actually, Unfortunatly the Alienware PC is now a steaming pile of D*ng as they say with parts breakign lefta dn right, and tech suport thwat blwos under a 3-year warrenty.
Also the gcase ahs room for 5 fans, not three, two in the fron, two in the back and a side fan, on top of that, the case is Identical to the oneALienware uses (paint job and all) with the exception of the word "ALIEBNEWARE" stamped up the side, and Since I'm considering building a new "PC" in the same color as the AW PC, but having a Major Linux Partition, and a Good-sized Windows ME Partition (Because I have a Copy of Windows ME, still MISB, that the SOB's at PCMall.com wouldn't take back even unopened, they don't take abck software so I blew $200 on an un-neseccary copy of ME), so since I basicaly have the equiivlent of a free Windows OS sitting in my closet (two words you dn't hear in the sma esentance uusally "Free" and "wndows"), because my dad paid for it, I figured, what the hey, if I can justify the cost, I'll build an entir Comp and replace this one, the only reason I'm keepin Windoze is because I have the equivelent of a free copy that's legit (because my dad bought it and gavie it to me unopened and couldn't return it), no lisence key forgeries or anything, I might as well put it to use, and I'm currently "mulling" over p[arts and prices, th case seems pretty cheap, I'm a fanatic of the color yellow, and the case seems Identical, Alienware Sent a "Drgon Full-Tower" case, and this looks Identical with the exception of the back where the MoBO goes (I don't knopw if hat'sa P-shopped "Mock-up" of a Mobo and connections like the PS/2 Mouse and Keyboadr ports, or if it's the actual back, it's slightly different), but if I can find a good job, and afford to blow around $2000 on a good PC that doesn't require 24/7 maintenace to run correctly, I can build it myself, and be done with it, I want a yellow case, and this looks good, the paint-job is done at the factory (Just like ALienware's cases are, the only differance is AW has them stamp the "ALIENWARE" Logo on the left side of the front of the case), and the cost seems reasobale, so I figure why not if it's a good case, I'd avoid the window-mod becaus ei don't want it too fancy or pricey, I just want it comprable tothe PC I'm currently using, and with no tech support and warenty to say "You can't install this upgrade or you void the warrenty", if I build my own PC, there is no Tec support and no warrenty (except the indivdual part warrenties), so I can do whatevr I want, say I don't like the CD-Burner I install, I can yank it out and replace it without any "warrenty" and tech-support to deal with.
I just want to know if this case is better than somethingI'd get if, say I bought a Dell and got the "Flaovr of the week" case, or I went to best buy and got a case like the ones HP or smeother Mass-produced Crap company uses. It doesn't have to look fancy, it just has to hold the parts and run well, cooling is an issue so iuf anyoen can tell me about a good cheaply priced Heat-sink, one that can stand a "maxed-out" machine, please do so. I need to keep the thing cool and I thin the reaosn Alienware doesn't sell cases directly is becasue they know that if they did, everyone would just buy their cases and nothing else because they can't build a good system (I had to replace half the machiena nd send it to the repair depot twice, for what it would ave cost withou a warrenty, I could have bought two new PC's), so my question is this:
If I'm building a Machine that's coimparable to the one I have, but with minor upgrades and adding Linux, is this a good case, I don't need 5 Cold Cathode Ray Tubes, and two Window Mods, plus a toaster in my "Custom-Built" PC, just a cool case that mtaches the one I have (the yellow) and a MoBo that supporst the following:
MoBo must have:
- Support for up to at LEAST a 2.8 Ghz P4.
- 5 PCI slots, no "shared" IRQ's
- 1 AGP slot (for a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 or tthe GeForce 5's when they come out)
- 1 Ethernet card slot (for that ever-improtant Ethernet cardnso I can use my cable modem without hogging a USB port)
If you can suggest a cheap MoBo of a four out fo five-star quality (or beter) that is cooled easily, please do so as well.

PS I'm trying to decide if building my own PC is a good idea or not, If there are books that can help me (the last time I put a PC together it was a 486 running windows 3.x I've never done anything in the Pentium ear and I need some hlpe with the "newer" systems and how to construct them, you know that they're more complicated than the old 486's), please tell me where I can buy the books/guides/Build your own PC walkthroughs and so on, as well as what to include no matter what in a PC and the construction process (an obivous thing is a Heatsink and static fingerbands), any help is apprecfated, again this doesn't ahve to look amnazing, it just has to be yellow and hold the parts of a PC without falling apart.
Is this a good case? (Please just answer Yes or No, if No, give reasons why)
I dunno, maybe it doesn't get that hot in there. I'd rather have a lian li though. If you got that case I'd definately put in a side window mod. The price isn't bad I guess, but I'm not sure. The aluminums I like run in the $100s. But if you like it then go ahead and get it. I'm not the one thats going to be using it or even ever see it....
