Well, due to the Memory Card constraints, I doubt that it will be 100% up to Ps2's level. But the changes are yet unknown, and possibly, they will be less noticable than the changes from Madden 2002 (Ps2) to Madden 2002 (GCN)
On that game it just cut back on created players, and that alone saved masses on memory (instead of being able to create 200 players, it was limited at somewhere below 100). It also lost generated rookies... instead the rookies were saved to the disk before-hand.
But this time it's isn't going to be THAT bad, because that was 500kb to save a 2500kb game... now that there are Memory Card 251s out it will be 2,000-2,500kb to save a 3,500kb game. so the cut-backs shouldn't be huge, but it will take your whole card sadly
Changes that will be good:
1) Better sound and better graphics
2) If it's like Madden, it will beat the Ps2 version in AI also

Doubt it. It won't look much better visually, due to the game being developed on PS2, and then ported all around. GC's RAM causes the PS2 ports to not look as good as they could.
EA is completely behind PS2, so you can almost bet PS2 will have the best version.

Wouldn't the the release of the Memory Card 1019 change the problems with memory? If the card does come out around the same time, then there isn't any reason for the cut backs...

Sorry, I'm not all that familiar with the release dates for 'american football' games or the memory card 1029. But since the title had 2003 in it, I thought it would come out in 2003 Meaning there would be a big enough gap for the release of the bigger card .
Anyways, maybe the next version will not have any cut backs

Madden (for PS2) is coming out August the 13th, I believe. And no, just because it says 2003, doesn't mean it is coming out in 2003. The 2004 games will come out in 2003.

Well, isn't that stupid, what if there is a change in some of the teams in 2003, but since they released it earlier than 2003, it wouldn't be up to date...
Anyway...

That is what the management modes in games are for. If a trade happens in real life, you try to make the same trade. Although, they rarely ever work.
