DAMN GEKKO!!! No wonder you said you owned 8 DVD players...

If you're over 21: What do you do for as living?

If under 21: What do your parents do for a living?

You/they must have great jobs to spend that much money on video games.

I don't work, and one parent is dead, the other is retired.

And I do own 8.

G4 has DVD-RW, Powerbook has DVD-ROM, Alienware PC has DVD-ROM, Dell PC has DVD-ROM, PS2 has one, Xbox has one, got 2 free standing players. But I've had DVD since it was still extremely new. Had it for at least 4 years now. Well before it caught on, consumer reports was comparing it to laser disc.

Might be getting a new one though. See, the first free standing one I got was way back in the day, and it can't read some of today's movies. So I got a new one, and game the old one to my mom. But I still ended up getting the new one before I had an HDTV, and before you could find progressive scan DVD players. So I might give my mom my current one, and get a progressive scan DVD player.

See why I don't want any more on consoles?

I have a feeling Gekko's money works for him, not the other way around. Keep an eye on the people handling your money, Gekko. I've seen too many Behind the Music's to trust accountants.

Sory about your parent, though.

I had a GC and then sold it, but I'll be getting all the consoles after I hurry up and get a job. Right now I only have the classics, but I've spent quite some money on them over the last couple of years on 8 consoles and at least 100 different games. Of course that seems like nothing compared to gekko's collection, but almost anything does.

Well I don't have an Xbox but I'll just do what other people did and list stuff for the consoles I do have... It's kinda hard cuz some things I traded for...

PS2
-----

console w/GT3: $330
Memory card: $35
Silent Hill 2: $50
Metal Gear Solid 2, GTA3, THPS3: $100 (buy 2 get 1 free)
Madden 2002: $50
Virtua Fighter 4: $50
Summoner: $18
Final Fantasy X: $50
Dynasty Warriors 3: $50

total: $733

NGC
-----

Console: $200
Memory card: $15
Rogue Leader: $35
Resident Evil: $50

total: $300

Grand Total: $1,033

I also had Soul Reaver 2, and I have Harvest Moon for PS2, but I got those for Xmas... along with a PS2 DVD kit... plus I traded Virtua Fighter 4 for SSB:M, which I still have, but I already counted the cash for VF4... Also 20 bucks out of the 50 for VF4 came from a 20 dollar gift thing I won in survivor soooo........

I wish I were spoiled rotten like gekko?
