Default Zelda music

So by now we've heard that every copy of Zelda: Skyward Sword will come with a music CD. It will contain recordings of the Zelda symphony orchestras that have been held in October.

So that got me thinking: what's your favorite Zelda music??

One of my recent favorite songs is the Overworld theme of Spirit Tracks:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W_bFLwB0WY
Is anyone else always using the steam whistle to add to the music? I wish every Zelda game had a (better) way to play an instrument while listening to the soundtrack.

Link's Awakening: Tal Tal Mountains
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_L6scVxzIiI
Awesome groovy/retro version of a well known Zelda tune.

The Wind Waker - Dragon Roost Island
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXGGvsHq6iA
I think I've seen a nice duet on Youtube, but I can't find it.

Ocarina of Time - Song of Storms
http://youtu.be/MTgaa6OUneY
I like the normal song already, but this version of it is maybe even prettier.

Ocarina of Time - Gerudo Valley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rfGbB0zqz8
Another cover. Awesome song.

Ok, I'll stop there.

I'm trying to find the song played at the very first castle in LTTP when you get Zelda out of her prison. They used it for the last castle in Twilight Princess since (in both games) it is the hyrule castle theme. Maybe that's its name. But that one's awesome too.

Indeed. Here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbJbYFyklTg

Thinking about all those songs makes me wonder what's included on the CD. I think the concert lasted around 2 hours, so that means they'll have to make a selection for the CD.

Woah, only 9 days and I'll be playing Zelda SS.

I'm planning on keeping my copy of the game sealed and playing the game through... well, other means. Could any of you rip the MP3s and post them for me, plox?

Only 8 songs? I was expecting more to be honest...
Anyway, I'm holding out until I get the real thing. Just 7 days away!

Angrist, I hate you man. -,..,- Naw, have fun playing the game a couple of games before.

Thanks BaB. And yes, I was expecting more than just 8 tracks, but I like the quality of the music.

Well 3 of the songs are ~10 minute long apiece.

So it makes up for lack of quantity with quality.

I did notice. I've been listening to it all day. I think I'm going to burn it on a cd and listen to it while on my car.

I decided to start listening to the CD. I foresaw a big dilemma on Friday: will I play the game first or listen to the CD? I wouldn't be able to stand having the CD just lie there without being listened to.

It's been good so far (I'm still on the first song).

This is the obvious winner.

Dark...moody...chromatic. Really captures the urgency of the falling moon in a pretty difficult temple. I can't say enough good things about that song. And around 1:10 you hear this really sexy and subtle melody....just ambient and awesome.

It reminds me a bit of the Forest Temple, only a million times better.

Wind Waker had the most epic overall score. And it had silence at the right times too. Something about the open sea...and the island sounds...

Given the art direction, and gameplay, I'm tempted to say Wind Waker is right behind OoT and MM for most polished and original 3D Zelda title.
