Favorite Video Game Purchase

After purchasing my 3DS recently and having a ton of fun with it, I started to think about how some purchases just feel better than others.

What video game related item have you bought that you were more than happy to have traded the money for?

For me it was my NES themed GameBoy Advance SP. I had originally bought FFXI for my PS2, but my internet ended up being too slow to play it. I repacked it and took it back to wal-mart, but the returns person said I couldn't return it opened.

I walked around for a while and came back to the returns desk, and a different person was working there. They let me return it.

I used the money to instead purchase the SP. It was so much better than my regular GBA. Brighter screen, flipped for protection, and the awesome NES style.
