PSM's "Hits and misses" section...
Listed as a Miss: "Too much cel-shading
Lots of companies are adopting this visual style for their games - rather than focusing on innovative gameplay - and it's already becoming played out"
I kinda agree... it can be nice now and then, but all of a sudden it just pops up everywhere...
Meh... The game looks nice though... I havn't played Dark Cloud, but let's hope they do better this time... just because... better is always better

Cel-Shading is becoming quite the popular tool now isn't it? To think that people were upset when the look of Zelda changed.

If cel-shading is used to the best of its ability in Zelda, then it should turn out fine.

Yeah, zelda could look very nice, but ze thing about zelda is err it looks more like a classic cartoon... whereas this Dark Chronicle thing looks more like slightly cartoony characters with some backrounds rarely looking cartoony at all...
Whereas Zelda looks all crazy cartoony... which I still thinks look neat, but still

Those pics look so much like Ragnarok.
THey do look good though.
And there is a GC cel shaded RPG coming (forgot its name).
Like DH says, all of a sudden, Cel shaded games are coming up.
THere's gonna be so much more, but Zelda does look a lot more "natural" if that makes ne sense
