Eternal Sonata PS3
I never played the 360 version, (just the demo over and over and over), but the new PS3 version is out and I couldn't resist. The game is brilliant so far - the visuals are astounding.
I'm glad something like this is out so I can avoid getting sucked into the hype with Fallout 3. I don't like Western RPGs, generally, and this is a real treat to have something so new yet obviously a throwback to old RPGs.
Anyways, the extra content is really helping the reviews. It got 8.7/10 at IGN which is the score I'd give it so far. It's a very well-put-together package. With the flurry of games coming out, this is by far the best jRPG this season.

Re: Eternal Sonata PS3
I loved this game. I played it on x360 back in the day. The graphics are slick, and beautiful. My favourite parts are when you complete a chapter, and there is a background of Chopins life, while they are playing his music. Good memories, maybe i'll get the ps3 version.....

Re: Eternal Sonata PS3
Yeah, the PS3 version has 2 more characters, more music, and even more apparently. I like playing ultimate-versions of games - kind of like VF4: Evolution. They usually get a chance to fix everything they wanted to, and they find stuff to fix that they were completely ignorant of while they were developing.

Hahah, not that far. I think I just beat the giant rat with Retto and Beat. I'm blown away so far, though.

Man, what a well put-together game. The learning curve is also perfect for an RPG. You need to know how to make the exact best of every situation in order to move forward.

Re: Eternal Sonata PS3
As long as Phil can fight it, I can fight it.
We shall stand tall and stand proud.
And I got a hell of a backlog.

Re: Eternal Sonata PS3
Meh. I don't like western RPGs anyways. Mass Effect was a fluke.
Maybe I'll pick it up on boxing day or something.

I've had enough of your stylish shades and judging books by their covers. Just because Fallout 3 wasn't made in Japan doesn't mean you won't enjoy it.
I swear, man. I will drug you and force you to play this game and watch as you enjoy yourself.

Re: Eternal Sonata PS3
Don't listen to them Phil, it's a Canadian trap!
I just have too large of a backlog to buy it at the moment.
And with Gears tomorrow.
