Bond's Live Blog: July 10th: Trying to beat Halo 3 on Legendary while I am sick.

I am sick.

I am trying to beat Halo 3 on Legendary.

I'll update this blog as my progress goes. So far I have beaten the first two levels after much frustration. I have to go to the doctor for my physical, so I will continue my quest when I get back.

Other than Halo single player?
Which can make anyone sick?

I ran for way too long last night and then decided to eat a nice big meal afterwards. Haven't recovered since.

I'm currently on the third level now, pinned deep behind the enemy lines, up against countless Brutes and a Wraith. It's hell.

I've beaten it on Legendary.

Wow, those Hunters are tough on Legendary. Phew.

I'm on "The Ark" level.

I'm looking to try to finish the campaign today, as long as I don't get too busy with other affairs.

I'm on the level before Cortana. Typhoid (or anyone else), have any advice on the Cortana level?

I would suggest always having a shotgun because a lot of those enemies like to get in close. So you want to take them out as soon as possible.

Also a long range weapon like a sniper for those damn plants. O gawd I wanted so bad to kill those things in real life.

Those plants are one of the most annoying enemies in any videogame. They are nearly impossible to destroy and are always dead-on accurate.

I've rescued Cortana, and am ready to try and escape this dreadful level. I've basically been running as fast as humanly possible, and trying to avoid all confrontations.

I'd really like to know what Bungie designer thought this level would be fun in any way, shape, or form.

Between having to go through the ENTIRE level a second time. And those damn plant creatures (that don't even have to be stationary which makes them even more fun) This was a bad bad choice of a level.

It is redeemed by the cool final mission. I love the Warthog part at the end. Wish they had more intense vehicular moments like that.

Onto the last level! The pyramid part with the flood could be difficult...

I don't know.
They give you a lot of weapons in that part.
Gravity Hammer.
Shotgun.
Brute Shot.
NEedler.
Flame Thrower.
The turrets at the top.

And you never really get flooded with enemies.
Did anyone else think the final boss was a waste though?

I'm getting flooded pretty bad with enemies on my way to the top of the temple...

I had to play that part 3 times, on Heroic co-op. I can't imagine solo Legendary.
