Now that the troops seem to be piling back in here I thought I'd finally ask..

So, what were you doing this weekend? What gives, apparently everyone was gone this weekend because this place was dragging. It was the slowest I've ever seen it.

I had a 3 day weekend so I was here and ready to talk it up but nobody was around

That's what GameTavern was like for several months. And that's not even including the dry spell we went through back in the winter of '07.

I was kind of wondering the same thing. Its like the moment I actually have nothing to do, everyone here disappears. When I go back to school, just watch, this place will be packed with new posts.

Ouch, I kinda figured that was a bit of an "example" of how it was back then.

Same here! Like I said, I had a 3 day weekend off of work for the first time in.. in.. forever! and I come here and it's a ghost town. But now that I'll most likely be working all day, every day this week, things will pick back up.

Some of my good friends were in town this weekend and so I was over hanging out with them a lot. We recorded some music for a feature film they are making and drank beer. A lot of beer...Also did some swimming because it was so damn hot. Fun times overall though because I don't get to see those guys all that often.

I was on a cruise with my girlfriend to the Bahamas for a week two weeks ago. This weekend I was back in New Orleans, for our one year anniversary. Next weekend I'm going to the Guadalupe River tubing. The weekend after that my girlfriend is flying to Houston to meet me and then we'll drive to Austin together for a wedding of two old friends from Tulane. July 4 weekend I'll be flying into New Orleans again, only to drive to southern Tennessee to spend time with my girlfriend's family. A week after that she'll be flying into Houston again so we can make our final decision about where we're going to live. Two weeks after that I'm doing something, but can't remember what. Then a week after that I'll be helping her move from New Orleans to Houston. Busy busy busy... I hope I don't get fired for taking so much time off...

I was at the hospital friday, and friday night was working on music. Same with most of Saturday, with a touch of acting like a nurse - but less sexily, then got dragged to a friends birthday bbq.

Today was for rest and sleep.

Nothing, really. Watching a lot of Buffy and hanging out with my girlfriend.

Good weekend! I'm ready for some gaming this week - I have to tie up loose ends before MGS4 hits.

On friday I hung out with friends at one of their apartments for a good long while. Yesterday I helped another friend move into her new house in Korea town and then had a BBQ with Jimmy Kimmel's Production Assistants later that night who are conveniently her roommates. Today I wrote an essay, watched the Laker game (my heart hurts now) and am working on another paper right now. Finals week starts in about 20 minutes for me

Work..but for once it was good to be at work. Tornado was about a mile from where I work and little warning for the folks slightly west due to the fact it was one of those very quick developing tornadoes and by the time the warning went out, the damage was already done. They said EF-2 which doesn't surprise me based on what I checked out after the storm when I took my "lunch" break.

Now to mass clean apartment in preparation for the move at the end of the month.

I invited quite a few friends over and had a pretty good party. All play and no sleep make Bube a very tired boy.

I was actually on GT quite a bit this weekend, for the first time in a while.

Went out Saturday with my parents for my birthday, though, and on Sunday went to the gym, went swimming, and grilled some steaks, then played DS the rest of the day.

My girlfriend and I are also rewatching Rurouni Kenshin for the 100th time.

@Dyne: Enjoy the Buffy while it lasts. Awesome show.

It was a very bust weekend for me. Had to go shopping on Sat and because of the heat I just sat and did nothing afterwards. Sunday I had a wine tasting tour with the inlaws through PA wine country. Ended the same, but wine-drunk along with heat exhaustion.

I don't know why everyone up in the north and northeast doesn't just bite the bullet and get central AC. Then maybe we'd stop getting news reports about the east coast getting "heat" waves of 90 degrees (you sure it wasn't a whine tour? yuck yuck).

I mean, come on. The south has it figured out, why not y'aaaaaaaaaall?
