Default Multiplayer question

Will 4 people playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl on the same Wii be able to battle against 4 others online in either a Team Mode or Free For All?

I made a new thread because I littered the other threads with updates. And I didn't want this to get skipped over under the assumption that it was just another one of my menial updates.

I know Jason asked this question regarding 2 folks on the same Wii so I want to know if that applies to 3 and 4 people as well.

If the game supported 4vs4 battles I'm sure it would be all over the internet.

So my guess is no.

I do wonder... if you play FFA with 3 guys on 1 Wii and 1 random online guy, you can team up on him, right? You can really ruin his experience. Does Care Bear Nintendo allow that?

No it doesn't support it.

8 player Smash Bros would be scary.

There is enough going on during the game as it is.

Im a little confused on what GM means exactly......

Yea, its 4 players maximum playing at one time. If you read IGN's review, it states that 3 could be on one console, with 1 person on another, or 2 and 2. The way GM has stated it hes acting like he wants to know if 8 people will be able to play online at once...which is obviously a NO, but I have a feeling GM actually means something else...
