It's more expensive than a camera.

If they take off another $50, I'll be interested. I won't buy, but I'll be interested.

Does Rock Band mislead untalented, rhythmically-challenged gamers into their thinking their the next greatest musician of our time?

I hope not.

There's nothing more painful than seeing someone with zero potential rock out like like their the shit.

Congratulations, you....are...fags!

For 150 you can buy a used real guitar.

But you can't buy a group of people willing to play with you, and with Rockband you don't have to. I have a real guitar and I still enjoy playing Rock Band, it's not the same kind of fun (namely because I enjoy drums).

What about Rock Band makes it any worse than Guitar Hero? You buy the instruments up front? But on the other hand it's got more variation, more downloadable content so you can keep going, and a character creator to design your own star and your own instruments.

All in all, I don't see why there's so much criticism. Harmonix is doing a great job with the game.

As for the picture... Drumming standing up? WTF?

I have 2 real beefs with Rock Band:

A) Square notes throw me off. I want circles.

B) The hardware, despite breaking often (no one believed me when I said this back in... October?), is only sold as a full bundle. Let's look at the problems with that:

i) My Les Paul is 100x better than the Rock Band guitar.
ii) I have enough guitars here to play all parts of the game, I don't want another
iii) Why am I buying everyone else a gaming experience? You want to play in a group? Fine, bring your own instrument. If you want to play drums, go buy the damn drums and bring them over. I'm not investing $$180 so I can play one instrument and buy 3 more for other people to play. Which brings me to...
vi) You promised the bundles in Feb. Where are they?

... and I'm going to add on a third beef...

C) I can't play the end songs on expert anymore because my wrist starts to seriously hurt.

I have nothing personal against Rock Band or Guitar Hero. It's just an easy-to-make-fun of piece of our pop culture. I still find it ironic that for 150 you can pick up a decent used guitar. Guitar Hero + beer = good party game. If you have the cash to spend, I'm sure Rock Band is just as much fun as Guitar Hero.

Far more fun.

-3-4 people at once
-chicks love it
-drumming surprisingly fun
-karaoke

Seriously...a small house party with some buddies and ladyfriends along with an abundance of alcohol mixed with Rock Band is one hell of a time.

GO BUY ROCK BAND!!!!!

Portal's Still Alive coming to Rock Band as DLC

It now has the best music of any rhythm game, ever. It's uncontested.

I did the math, and your two 'beefs' with the game cancel out this sudden news.

Therefore, I have no choice but to render this news as insufficient.
