Did anyone actually read the article? If anyone has bought into the hype of ethanol and believed that it was actually for the best (me included), then you should definitely read this because it may change your mind...

I read a little of the article, but the downside of Ethanol is not sudenly a revelation:

1) Supply. I think you would need a farm almost the size of Texas to create enough corn to supply the US's energy needs alone. Thats a lot of corn.

2) Energy. Making ethanol has a high energy cost. Compared to gasoline you have to use much more energy to create ethanol, so in the end it's kind of self defeating.

Whats happening right now is whats always happening when it comes to any POLITICAL issue. Its not about solutions, its appear finding the easiest way to make it look like your finding solutions.

"Oh, gas killing the environment and causing terror? Ethanol! Next issue?"

Morons.
