Sony Gamers Day (lots of new media)
Lots of new videos and hands on impressions from the following games:
PS3
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Heavenly Sword
Little Big Planet
Lair
Warhawk
SOCOM: Confrontation (debut)
Pain (debut)
Folklore (debut?)
plus a few more, along with:
PSP
God of War: Chains of Olympus
Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Jeanne D'Arc
along with a couple others
heres IGN's page where you can find lots of stuff...impressions, videos, screenshots:
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/788/788743p1.html
I'd check out http://www.gametrailers.com for videos, too.
I'll post a few screenshots.
Uncharted (stunning)
Ratchet and Clank
Heavenly Sword
Little Big Planet
SOCOM
I know most here don't care about the PS3 but this looks like a good showing to me...a couple very cool online-only titles (Warhawk, SOCOM) some gorgeous action/adventure games (Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank) and something that continues to interest me, Little Big Planet. Looking forward to seeing the rest of their stuff in a couple months at E3.

It kind of sucks to think that E3 could be going on right now. Gonna be an awesome fall lineup of games though, damn.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot. Why isn't E3 occurring right now?

Well, remember last year they were all like "E3 has gotten too big and commercial" or something to that affect, and then they were like "I guess we should change it" so they made it into a smaller event with private screenings and interviews, all of which require very exclusive invitations from developers. It takes place in July this year, but I have no idea how the media coverage is going to work. Basically: good news for video game journalists and small-time developers, bad news for anyone who can't go (so, a LOT of people).

Take a look at the videos, they really show off just how gorgeous this game is...it looks like Indiana Jones.

Re: Sony Gamers Day (lots of new media)
looking good, could be a great game.
I don't think there's a need to rush into buying ps3, in another 6 months to a year i reckon it's perfect to buy. Should be a great selection of games, plus the price will be reduced.

Little Big Planet looks the most interesting to me. Such mysterious little creatures!

I agree with you completely. The only reason I bought myself one recently was because I was able to pay less than half price by trading in a bunch of stuff. I would wait until after a price drop, that would make more sense...

Re: Sony Gamers Day (lots of new media)
As if I haven't been on a long enough hiatus, I'd just like to start of by saying,
What's up gang? Been awhile! I see the "most" of the flame wars have seized, and only small time bickering occurs ever so often
In any case, I'm happy for PS3 showing at GDC07. Shows that developers have been making some really good progress with their time with the PS3.
Most interesting of all showings: Heavenly Sword and Little Big Planet.
Andy Serkis being the dramatic director and playing the villain in this game just makes me want to play it that much more. He's an amazing actor and brings a whole lot to the table.
Little Big Planet, not much could be said about this, what hasn't been said already. This game just looks like massive tons of fun. Watching the gameplay demo of 4 creatures cooperating to get through and the things you could do with the physics alone, was just so innovative. I'm looking for this game to be one the top sellers this fall.
