Former President Bill Clinton announced agreements with drug companies Tuesday to lower the price in the developing world of AIDS drugs resistant to initial treatments and to make a once-a-day AIDS pill available for less than $1 a day.

Good for him. He worked with the drug companies and worked out a way to get dirt poor people the drugs that they need at a very reasonable price. Now get him to go to Trojan and get them to start selling these people Condoms...

maybe all the missions they're forcing on third world countries are actually working.

Actually the missions could be the cause of the AIDS epidemic. Christopher Hitchens wrote a scathing commentary on Catholic influence (and even Mothert Theresa), blaming it for the spread of AIDS in Africa because they DO encourage people to not use condoms.

For the record, they also encourage marriage and abstinence. I guess 1 out of 3 is pretty awful.

I wouldn't say the missions caused AIDS. But they're definately not helping to stop it, or hinder it in any way.

But then again, I guess if you have God on your side, it doesn't matter if your penis is covered in warts and seeping fluids, you know.

Of course Catholics didn't cause AIDS... that happened when some gay dude banged a monkey in the butt while getting a Polio vaccine in the Frech Congo, or so my drunk uncle Larry tells me...
