A lot better than the real Wii commercials, if only because it doesn't have the stupid bowing ies with the goofy sound effect that they probably recorded from a Wiimote speaker.

I was afraid someone might like them. Do you really? I guess I like the bowing ies idea, especially if Nintendo is aiming to tie the logo together with the commercial that has those bowing Japanese guys that travel around letting people try out the Wii (speaking of which I have yet to see on regular TV). But that sound effect is the cheesiest sound they could have picked. It sounds like some old sound effect from some old NES game.

my take on it was the i's are going to be doing different things depending on the commercial. and yes they're emulating the bowing Japanese guys. (you havnt seen those commercials on tv? i keep seeing em all the time and i fast forward through commercials)

but they all have some stupid sound effect that goes with em. this one doenst really seem any different from consoles past and present.

[edit:] and actually, some/most of thoes commercials (ones with the japanese guys) dont even have a sound effect at all when the i's bow

How am I missing these commercials? Hmmm I guess I don't watch enough TV, but I don't think that's possible.

On another note, I think the PS3 commercials are becoming much better. I like the one where they show a bunch of gameplay from several different games and end with one game on each side of the room with the PS3.

thats exactly my point tho. you dont need to watch much tv at all to see thoes commercials... and i still see em while im fast forwarding thro the commercials. hehe.

i just mean they're on all the time :P

That's exactly my point, though. I do watch a lot of TV and I'm wondering how I'm missing the commercials.

Though I guess I don't watch that much TV. I don't follow any new shows, but I do watch a lot of Comedy Central and also I think it's TBS when they show their three hours of TNG every weekday. I've only seen commercials for Red Steel and COD3, and like I said none with those bowing Japanese guys.

EDIT: Speak of the devil, pretty much right after I posted this I saw those two bowing Japanese fellas on Comedy Central.
