New Wii Games Announced + More
That LGC begun today or whatever.
In the midst of a pretty lackluster conference, Nintendo announced two Wii games. Both sequels to games released last year but eh.
First one is Super Mario Strikers sequel called Mario Strikers Charged.
http://www.jeux-france.com/downloads...s-charged.html
Link for video/pic.
Most interesting is the game will feature online play including touranments.
To me personally as one of my top games of the generations. I love that it is getting a sequel.
Most importantly, it is addressing most of the major problems had with the original.
More captains going for initial 8 to 12. I'm assuming will include unlockable captains like the original.
More sidekicks going from 4 to 8. Even better though is apparently you can now mix and match. I don't know if you have to pick 3 different ones but you do get to pick 3 so maybe 1-1-1 or 2-1 or all 3 the same who knows.
Stadiums will now feature some personality instead of just looking different. One had lightning striking the ground and heavy winds which made it harder for players to move.
And the possibility to block Super Strikes now.
The other game is Batallion Wars 2 or as they shortened itt BWii.

Picture no video yet.
Didn't play the original much. It was ok eh to me.
But this one adds multiplayer mode which can also be played online. As well as online co-op.
Atleast Nintendo is doing more with online than they did in the entire last gen.
More.
New Red Steel trailer. Even though basically shows off same area as e3 version. Looks better I guess.

New Elebits Trailer which confirms that game where have a multiplayer mode for atleast 3 people

New Sonic Wii Trailer. The game looks sweet. And personally the game that looks most Sonic of the next-gen versions. Though till not a fan of how he runs.

Oh man, hot. Too bad I never got a chance to work for the Mario Strikers guys, because they're right downtown here.

Yea, I agree sonics feet dont look right when hes running. Its almost like his feet dont speed up according to the action on screen. I mean on the Dreamcast sonics, when sonic got moving, it looked like his feet were going at like 100 mph, really quick.
Id even like to see his feet just totally blur up into a spiral like the 2d Sonics!

So I guess that means the game's advertising slogan will be, "BWiing It On."
*giggles at his own cleverness*

Re: New Wii Games Announced + More
I was gonna make a new Madden Wii thread but since Crash already posted the pics.

This is a walk throu of how the game works. And I must say I am actually liking how it seems to work.
Maybe enough to pick up the game, we shall see.

I saw that earlier today, and I agree -- I'm liking it, too.
But I think if you've never liked football games before, I wouldn't expect this one to win you over. Once you get past the newness of it, of using physical motions to do what buttons did before, it will still be the same gameplay at the core. Like someone said after seeing that video, "I've never been able to play Madden for more than ten minutes without suffering crippling boredom, but this one looks like it could last an hour or so."
However, for me personally, I think this game will coincide nicely with my new interest in following football, so I'll probably pick it up.

I'm more bothered by 'Secret of the Rings' than I am Sonic's feet animation. Looks pretty cool though.

Re: New Wii Games Announced + More
problem with rayman rabbits is it seems to be a collection of minigames... not a platformer.

The thing I find funny about Madden is that it seems to totally go against Nintendo's original little strategy... "Controllers these days have gotten so complicated with so many buttons, it can be intimidating for the the everyday Joe", yeah, now instead you have a bunch of motions and stuff to memorize to the extent that they even include "how to" demos in-game...
Which is especially odd since Madden is like the biggest "average Joe" kind of game...
But eh...
