yup, sure is. and infact, i was searching and seaching a while back to find something that wrote well on a CD, actual CD markers worked ok at first, then wouldnt write very dark at all. i tried quite a few things. but a fine point permanent sharpie works better then anything else i've ever tried, goes on dark, clean, dries quickly.

nothin beats a sharpie man!

Yep, I use a sharpie all the time on CD/DVD's. Just yannow, dont write on the data side
