Da Tribes
Attention Survivor Contestants: Your next stop is Treasure Island! Please keep your arms and legs inside the boat at all times. Make sure your life preserver is fastened securely; No one will rescue you if you take a spill. I hope you ate a good meal before boarding because there ain't much in the way of food where you're going, ha ha. Just so you can get to know the mates you'll be spending the next two months with, allow me to make introductions. Our tribes are named after the famous explorers/pirates/treasure seekers Sir Francis Drake and Captain Cook.
First off the Drake Tribe, which will always wear.....whatever they want to, consists of..
Happydude, a college student from down under.
Typhoid, an unemployed bum who sticks to the keyboard 24/7.
Blacklotus, a day surfer and one of the few people here I know in real life.
Vampyr, a GameTavern staffer from Paradise City.
Jonbo298, an inbound sales rep lost in the cornfields of Nebraska.
Acebot44, part time photo lab tech, full time GameTavern fiend.
ZebraRampage, a college student from Pennsylvania (would that be State Penn)?
and finally Killergremlin, professional prick. Need I say more?
And the Cook Tribe, which will always wear......whatever they want to, consists of
Teuthida, a man of many names and many more talents.
GameMaster, a college student and winner of Survivor IV!
Krypton, a high school student from Michigan who claims to love 24 just as much as I do.
Jason1, college student and the Steelers' #1 fan.
BLueFire, a soon-to-be college student with way too many ribbons.
RagedHybrid, an IT technician that can be found somewhere inside your mom.
manasecret, a college student whose potential is just waiting to be unleashed.
and Bube, a college student from Turkey about to ace his finals.
Please stand by while Tribe camps are prepared. You will be exiting the boat shortly and will be leaving behind your life of comfort and convenience. Do not be disheartened, for great and wondrous mysteries await you on Treasure Island.

Re: Da Tribes
Our tribes are named after the famous explorers/pirates/treasure seekers Sir Francis Drake and Captain Cook.
A little history on the Drake Tribe's forefather-Sir Francis:
Drake set out on the first of his famous marauding expeditions. He took the town of Nombre de Dios on the Isthmus of Panama, captured a ship in the harbor of Cartagena, burned Portobelo, crossed and recrossed the isthmus, and captured three mule trains bearing 30 tons of silver. The voyage brought Drake wealth and fame.
In Dec., 1577, he set out with five ships to raid Spanish holdings on the Pacific coast of the New World. He abandoned two ships in the Río de la Plata in South America, and, with the remaining three, navigated the Straits of Magellan, the first Englishman to make the passage.
Drake continued alone in the Golden Hind up the coast of South America, plundered Valparaiso and smaller settlements, cut loose the shipping at Callao, and captured a rich Spanish treasure ship.
Elizabeth endeavored for a time to justify Drake's conduct to Spain, but, failing to satisfy the Spanish, she finally abandoned all pretense and openly recognized Drake's exploits by knighting him aboard the Golden Hind.
What does all that tell you? Our man was a Pirate! Yes and a very famous one at that. Who normally ends up with the treasure? Exactly pirates! Ha!
