The biggest surprise you can think of is them bundling all the previous Zelda titles despite the fact that Revolution is basically going to have the ability to do that on it's own? *scratches head*

Re: New TP info
*checks date* Nope, March 30th. Tomorrow is March 31 so they cant use the "But its April 1 in Japan" thing.
It looks legitimate. The online zelda possibilities intrigue me but not sure how that would work out

Re: New TP info
I wouldnt call it "OMGWTFBBQLOL AWESOME" but "Great, they are thinking of an online zelda game, possibly trying a different Zelda type game via not Ganon or Triforce and some voice additions in the future minus Link having a voice for obvious reasons" and the fact he cleared up alot of where each game falls within the Link "saga"

Re: New TP info
I'm pretty "meh" at this point. I honestly don't know what bonus they could offer that they haven't already put out (aside from the attrocious CD-i Zelda games, but honestly who really wants them?).
I love Zelda, don't get me wrong. But OoT with rehashed graphics isn't going to impress me. Doing something original for a bonus, on the other hand, is unlikely as they're not selling it. Which, in and of itself kind of kills the excitement for me.
The thing that would honestly excite me most would be a new 2D Zelda game for free that could be played through the Revolutions virtual console. But seeing as the news is indirectly connected to the recently announced specs, I find that unlikely.

Re: New TP info
Wow, their website got suspended. I wonder if it was for bandwidth or because they were really going to post something they shouldn't have. Well they had a nice sized interview with Nintendo on one link that talked about the possibilities of an computer/Animated Zelda movie or Anime and the future of Zelda online.
The other link had a lot of promises about a huge newsbit that was supposedly to be made tomorrow about Twilight Princess and that it was indirectly related to the recently posted Revolution Specs.

Actually the article that said there will be big news "tomorrow" was posted on Wednsday... Making "Tomorrow" last night...
Meaning that big news was contained in the interview... Despite the interview's complete lack of big news...
The thing it was probably referring to is that Nintendo is, in a way, considering TP a Revolution launch title, since Revolution is basically an extension of the GC hardware, it can play GC games, and TP will be playable with the Revolution's controller...
Problem is that's not big news, since I'm pretty sure Miyamoto mentioned that in an older interview...
But I suppose that will be a pretty neat thing if it takes FULL advantage of Revolution's controller... Effectively giving the game two totally different ways to be played...

Re: New TP info
It's basically Nintendo's clever way of saying,
"the gamecube was a huge piece of sh*t and as a kiss-off to it we are going to make its last and possibly best game (or at least most hyped) a launch title for our new console that hopefully won't be a huge piece of sh*t.
Nintendo fans are the zaniest bunch, about 99% of them stood by the Gamecube during its lifespan, saying that it would come up on top, taking the PS2 and Xbox out of the market. They said it was great. A lot of them now are like, "meh the gamecube was pretty lame bring on the rev!"

It was obviously an empty hope. But Gamecube really was/is a great system, and I think it's sad that there are so many people unwilling to give it a try.
I really do like many of the exclusive titles available for Xbox and PS2, but when this next generation rolls around I'm just going to do what I did this time. Get Nintendo's system for sure, and compliment it with either Sony or Microsofts offering. This time around I got an Xbox; it's possible I'll make the same choice depending on the price tag Sony decides to stick to its monster.
I'm not the only one in this position from what I've seen. And if more people come around to realize that Nintendo is still offering awesome software this is going to become a more and more prominant trend because it will be fueled by the fact that their system will cost half or less than the competition while still offering an enjoyable and original play experience.
