Link will die in TP
Quote:
We don't have a screenshot, nor do we finally have any official artwork, but finally, somebody from Nintendo's development team confirmed Ganon is returning in full force in Twilight Princess. Nintendo Power Volume 201's interview with Yoshiyuki Oyama reveals that Ganondorf is back in Twilight Princess, and he is indeed Link's nemesis for the game. And he says we're going to get more of Ganon than we could ever hope for...
"Finally, no discussion of TP's enemies can end without mentioning Ganon. I know that everyone's wondering what's going on with Link's old nemesis. All I can say now is, we're preparing more than you could possibly ever, ever, ever expect..." That's the quote by Yoshiyuki Oyama that is going to get people all hyped up again. After months of pretty much nothing sense the remarks about a possible "unhappy" ending in Twilight Princess, Nintendo Power's interview finally discloses something new.
"And how will my monsters ensure that Twilight Princess is the greatest Zelda game ever? Wait and see. You won't be disappointed." Oyama sure is boasting, but with how much time he has had with this game, I wouldn't be surprised if he makes good on this claim. Additionally, Oyama states he feels enemies have been too easy in the past, and that they will be more challenging in Twilight Princess. He also assures us the bosses will be far more challenging than what we've seen before in Zelda games.
Oyama also mentions his thoughts on the Zelda series in comparison to other adventure RPGs as well as his input about the items used in Twilight Princess and what roles they will play. Unfortunately, we do not have any scans at the moment of this issue, but hopefully we will get them up as soon as possible.

sounds to me like they are going to kill off link at the end of this game. that would be the only way to make this the best zelda game ever. Not that it matters, because each LINK is a different one than the last. I will predict this for the record.
They are doing it, just because they know master chief is going to die, and they are going to pre-empt microsoft

Re: Link will die in TP
Ocarina of Time had good bosses. So did Majora's Mask. Wind Waker didn't push my challenge limit, but back in 5th grade when I was beating Ocarina of Time, the first time I got to the Shadow Temple boss (Bongo Bongo?), I had a bit of a tough time. Ocarina of Time had a lot of bosses and enemies, probably why it is still my favorite Zelda game. If Wind Waker didn't rehash so many puzzle and boss ideas, maybe I wouldn't have been able to beat the game blindfolded. It was a fun game though. I'm excited about the new Zelda, I haven't bought a game in a while.

Re: Link will die in TP
Speculation is entirely different from a spoiler. If Crash is wrong, he hasn't spiled anything. If Crash is right, you won't actually know if Link dies or not until you play the game and get to the part where he died.
I mean, its like people speculating that Darth Vader was lying about being Luke's father after having seen Empire Strikes Back, but before Return of the Jedi. You could be angry at them for possibnly spoiling the suspense, but they're wrong, so who cares?

Re: Link will die in TP
He didn't just speculate, he posted a bunch of spoilers. Which I had to read to discover that he was speculating about him dying.

The only true spoiler in his post is that Ganon will be in the game. I mean, that's like saying Bowser is going to have some hand in the next Mario game...
The rest could maybe be termed spoilers, but they're so non-specific that I don't really see how they spoil anything. An "unhappy" ending could mean any number of things. I personally think the ending to Link's Awakening is unhappy (unless you never die; then its hopeful).
Unless knowing that everything is supposed to be better than ever ruins the actual experience, I don't necessarily see how anything said is a spoiler...

Re: Link will die in TP
Well, perhaps I exaggerated a bit, but I just hate spoilers.... I expected Ganon (and I read it elsewhere), but I don't want to know anything bout the game. Or perhaps only negative things.

Re: Link will die in TP
Whoa whoa whoa! Don't get your hopes up!
First of all, the only "announced" release date was the "next fiscal year", which of course starts in April. Then everybody started saying "OMG APRIL at best!!" and somewhere along the line it got changed just to April. How the hell did it turn to March?
When I preordered it the other day at EB, their estimate was November. I'm not even kidding.
Seriously, don't get your hopes up. Instead, get your hopes up for Chibi Robo, Baten Kaitos 2, and Odama, because those are going to be great games too, and they're confirmed for Q1-2 of 2006.

Re: Link will die in TP
Yea, I wouldnt really expect Zelda until at least Q3 or 4.
Then again, wasnt Wind Waker released in March?
Oh and back on topic, I dont think link will die in WW. Somehow I dont think Nintendo would do that, and I dont think I would really want them to...
