Canadian Election results
So...conservative minorty.
What are people's thoughts on this?
Frankly I'm worried.
Will Harper put a ban on gay marriage? Most likely.
Will he screw over students further with their tuition fees?
Will he pull a Mulrooney?
What do you think?

Re: Canadian Election results
This disgusts me, honestly.
I hope we see some sort of revolt as soon as we go to war with Iraq and have the gays lose all their rights, but not before we have to pay 15% extra for tuition and another 8% for healthcare.
See, I would have no problem with the conservatives. None at all. Except the fact Harper wants us to be America Jr. Thats what bugs me. And the whole Bloc connection thing worries me as well.
Like, the Liberals weren't bad. They just had a scandal. But every good government needs a scandal to be remembered for. I hated this scandal though, because it was the whole basis for all the Conservative campaigning. "The Liberals ****ed up, Vote Conservative!" Or like "Martin hid money, Harper MUST be better."
It's stupid. I hope by Friday all the people who voted for him realize what they've done.

Realistically shouldnt you care about tuition?
And healthcare?
Nobody said anything about a draft. But I'm sure theres more likely a chance of you paying an extra 15% or so for your own schooling.

And for the people who do?
You dont care because it doesnt apply to you?
Do you think equal gay rights are a good idea?
By this logic, you wont care, not being gay and all.

I seriously hope you never take anything political I say seriously. Time and time again I've told people to shut up about politics, even you sometimes. I don't force my politics on anyone else and I hope you don't take something as stupid as that personally.

Re: Canadian Election results
I have no idea why Jack Layton went along with the Bloc and the conservatives in calling no confidence. Seriously he could have made the Liberals give him so much in return for supporting them.

Re: Canadian Election results
They won with a minority though, they can't just do whatever the hell they want. The NDP alone has nearly double the amount of seats it had previously, and the Liberals are still a very strong presence.

Re: Canadian Election results
Well at least Canadians will have something to bitch about besides US politics. So that makes me happy.

Re: Canadian Election results
im happy too...the conservatives have a more professional way of looking at it, with accountability being one of their main points because the liberals screwed up.
