Arrow Still waiting....

when will Nintendo release the SD Cards???

That was a fairly big part of Gamecube's hype, but they have said little to nothing about it...

I don't care for 3rd party ones because developers will not take advantage of them.

When the 1st party one is released, games will be made specifically for the SD Card (Madden Hopefully)

It holds a hell of alot more info. There are 8MB SD Cards, all the way up to 64MB right now, I think.

It's bigger! Up to a few gigabytes, eventually.

I don't know what happened to the SD cards. I guess Nintendo is concentrating on other stuff right now. Or maybe they just don't think there's any software right now that needs an SD card (of course, there won't be any such software that uses the SD card unless Nintendo releases the adapter).

Or maybe they have a game in the works that specifically takes advantage of the SD card adapter and they are keeping it secret as usual.

Or maybe we should wait until E3 (like everything else).

Or maybe *gasp* they ditched the idea.

Or maybe either RARE or Nintendo will give away an adaptor, or sd-card with one of their games?

Actually, the're releasing a 1 MB card and an 8 MB card. If you preorder them you'll get them by the end of this month.

But think of it. The 8 MB card is only $30.00, so you're getting 16x the space (that's 944 blocks instead of 59) for only 2x the price.

I have a feeling the SD card thingy will never get released

I dunno why... it's just I mean I don't see what the hell would take so long...

Maybe they ran into some kind of troubles... ooorrrr maybe they're just waiting for people to buy up a regular memory card or two... then they release the SD adapter and get even more money... or maybe they just lied and they used that SD card thing to cover up the crappy size of the memory card, and were never really going to release it J/K

Is that a hint of sarcasm I sense?
Well, they did bundle a damn expansion pack, which would cost as much as an adaptor with DK64... Cheap or not, it happened... Always a possibility, just don't hold your breath ...

Actually, that wasn't sarcasm. I really think that Nintendo will do something like that.
