Voice acting is kinda new ground for video games isn't it. Most games don't feature it rather just sound effects with some exceptions like Banjo Kazooie and Sonic Adventure

Conker had a lot of voice acting...

...they should have the guy who played Frank the pitch fork as one of the voice actors in ED...

But otherwise than that....the acting in the game should be great.

Hey now, I care . I thought that was Michael Bell's voice for the guy in an insane asylum promo. Parts he's played that some might know are..... anyone ever watch Rugrats? He does the voice of that nerdy father guy with the glasses. You know the one with that little ***** for a daughter, what's her name, Angela or something? Plus, Cam Clarke has done some voices in the Robotech animated series. I've heard most of the voices those people have done in videogames too.

Most of the people listed though are people who have done a lot of work in voice acting so that's very good to see. Still, it would have been cool to me if they had guys like Scott McNeil and Brian Drummond doing a voice or two. About 98% of you guys probably have no idea who they are........but I do .

*tumbleweed crosses by*

One thing that confuses me is under the link to it it says "The full list of actors", but then inside before the actors are listed, it says "Some of the people providing voices for Eternal Darkness".

Stop joking around

but hey, if a game with a deep story and all that junks has bad, annoying voice acting, it could get well... annoying... and ruin the "feel" of a game a bit, OK?

OK!?!?

I was being very serious, but I meant the original Metal Gear Solid. I haven't played the second one yet.

They do sound quite a lot if you compare the first MGS and Halo, I think. I was just wondering if they might be the same actors.

Then again, its been a while since I played MGS.

And just think, some of these guys were working on this game before they got big.

I mean, a lot of these guys got big because of MGS2, and they were hired to do acting for ED (N64 version) before that. If both companies hired them I think that's a testament to how good they really are.

Well... I'm pretty sure Cam Clark did liquid's voice in MGS1 as well... same goes for David Hayter and Solid Snake's... And Mei Ling was in MGS1 as well... the only time she was in MGS2 was a very short little guest appearance on the codec that was one of the many many secret little neat things in the game...

Then Michael Bell did Raziel's voice in Soul Reaver 1... and he wasn't in the original Legacy of Kain game (blood omen, which o'course was made by SK)... I think Richard Doyle was maybe in Blood Omen... And I dunno who the other MGS2 people are... *shrugs*

yep...

Danchastu, only two people did ALL of the voices in Conker, a guy and a girl. You can hear several similarities between character's voices because of this. There may have been more people involved, but only two are mentioned in the credits. You have to admit, if they accomplished something like that, they SHOULD be involved in more games!

Concernng the Eternal Darkness lineup: I'm very impressed. Rino Romano did the voice of Spider-man in the Saturday morning 'toon, and also provided the voice for Kyle Katarn in the Lucasarts' Mysteries of the Sith, a sequel to Jedi Knight. The rest of the cast looks especially solid, also.
