Default Uh oh.

So I had been working on an essay for my poetry class for quite some time and for a lot of citations I'd rephrase things from books and provide a source. This is standard practice in essay writing. So my TA decided to slap me with accusations of plagarsim. This is serious business. So I called up my mom and my mom got scared and said "you're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air". I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said "Fresh", and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought man forget it yo holmes to Bel-Air. I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 , and I yelled to the cabbie, "Yo Holmes, smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel-Air.

It's all in how you word it. It depends on how long the quote is, but a few words and a citation is usually practical. If it's longer than a few words, use quotes.

Find out exactly what you did wrong (there's a whole website for academic honesty at SFU) and rectify it immediately.

And remember, citations exist to prove arguments and make it seem like you've actually done some research on the subject, not to help you "write" your essay.

It was actually a joke. I just wanted someone to take me seriously before I busted into the Fresh Prince theme song.

Joke eh?

I don't believe that any TA would find this accusation funny. They would be shocked that you are willing to lie to get a laugh...and rap...

That sounded like something Gamemaster would say.

The TA would not find this accusation funny. You should perform sexual favours for the TA in order to save yourself from glaring reality of plagiarism in the academic world.

But if he wasn't really plagiarizing, just citing. Then he hasn't done anything wrong, so he wouldn't really need to perform sexual favours on the TA, just apoligize and be his slave for a little while.

GameMaster's cultural influence within internet forums is evident in its user's everyday references to him from subjects of academic violations to game reviews gone awry: "That sounded like something Gamemaster would say" (Thread 13,792 Post 6).

In addition to being linked to enriching vocabulary, the character of GameMaster also has ties to sexual content: "The TA would not find this accusation funny. You should perform sexual favours for the TA in order to save yourself from glaring reality of plagiarism in the academic world" (Thread 13,972 Post 7).

Those who are reluctant to acknowledge this alias as healthy often speculate that the user is psychologically damaged, using the internet and forums as a venue to redirect it's energy and mind, often portraying multiple personalities: "Gamemaster, I spend exactly the same amount of time 'targeting you with extensive plans' as I spend watching reruns of Mama's Family and Becker. Stew on that for a while, you paranoid loon" (Thread 13,742 Post 41).

Those who have studied this entity often collaborate together to develop theories that can explain the mysteries.

I was using proper citation.

Or how about the time you laughed at what he said, but then threw glitter in his face and ran off?

My teacher accused me of plagiarising once when I was in 8th grade. My history teacher said that an 8th-grader couldn't possibly have written with such sophisticated words. He was wrong...and my mom and I had a good time proving him wrong.

A week later my science teacher asked me to write a special paper for him to present at some conference.

I'm sorry, but I found it to be funny, because it was so unpredictable. And the fact that I was listening to the FPoBA theme song a few minutes ago made it much better.
