Re: SNES
Which Donkey Kong Country? I personally loved the 2nd. I never got to try the third, though.
And how about that Mario RPG? That was my favourite game back in the day, along with Chrono Trigger. I'm so sad because the Paper Marios/Mario and Luigi games just don't quite cut it.

Re: SNES
I think my favorite SNES game to pull out and play is Mega Man X... 'Tis in the system right now, infact...
I fairly recently went out and bought a number of SNES games that I honestly still havn't played... Last one I bought was The Lost Vikings, brought it home, tested it, shoved it in a box, and there it remains...

Re: SNES
I wanted to buy Megaman X so badly but now I'm waiting for the X collection on Gamecube. That's going to kick serious ass.

Re: SNES
I took my family's SNES a few months ago. My favorite game is Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and have been replaying it (for the 50th time it seems).
However, my system is sort of messed up so I'm playing in black and white.

Aw hells yeah! Though I'll pick it up for PS2, as I prefer the PS2's D-pad to the Cube's analog stick (I had to re-buy Mega Man Anniversary Collection after I couldn't take the stick no more!)...
I wonder how much the value of MMX2 and 3 will drop once the comp. comes out? Those suckers go for around $100 each if they are complete and in mint condition...

Re: SNES
Heh 8.... Let's see I was...15 when the SNES came out. I was on vacation in Colorado so we had to hook it up to the hotel television. I think I had to spring some cash from my dad to pay for all of it.

Re: SNES
I was... really young when the SNES came out... I don't remember how much...
Id o remember getting it, though. It was some crazy surprise gift out of nowhere. My family was in some store or another for some reason or another, and my mom my brother and I close our eyes. Eventually we were allowed to open them, and there was a SNES! Not even my dad knew were getting it...
I've since sold it, though. Most of the games I still like to play have been released in compilations and whatnot, and the Revolution will soon make al old Nintendo systems obsolete, at least for first party games...

I was a Genesis boy too. But I do remember playing Mario Kart at a friend's house. Thought it was really cool. The DKC graphics were pretty amazing too.

Re: SNES
Hmm I remember playing DKC on my friend's SNES. Kinda weird that everyone I knew owned a Genesis though. And if they had both they played Genesis more. We were all Sonic obsessed kids.

I only had a Genesis. Along with Sega Channel later on. Sega Channel was basically the best invention since the wheel. What was it a measly 12 bucks a month to play basically any Genesis game you wanted, complete with saves and everything...how could you beat that?
