Re: Madden NFL 06
Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I'm still pissed at the lack of a 2k6 game and mulling over possibly picking up an xbox360 at launch. If I get the 360 I'll get madden with it. If I don't I probably won't buy it.

I respect that. Whatever you do though, dont buy it AND complain about its quality or whatever. I hate it when people do that...expecting the game to be unworthy of a purchase, but get it just so they can rightfully complain or something.

Well what the ****.
If I buy it, obviously it's worthy of a purchase. But if I buy it and don't like it it's my right to rip it.

Re: Madden NFL 06
of course it would be your right to rip it apart, but if you anticipate that you're GOING to not like it, I would suggest not buying it...
I just hate it everytime I hear someone go
"well I bought Madden too and it SUCKS just like every other year"
I would assume you're above that, it's just a pet peeve...

Re: Madden NFL 06
Well I don't have $50 laying around just to find out if a game sucks. Wish I did. I assure you if I buy madden I will make every effort to like madden. Just like I did with NCAA05.
I'll definatly pick up NCAA06 when I have the money.

I have to get this... University life is incomplete without the newest edition of any EA Sports game.

Im already in year 5 of my dynasty (Michigan Wolverines, Go Blue!)
2 time National Champs (would have won all 4 easily if I didnt change the AI sliders) 2 Heisman winning running backs, 12 (TWELVE) 1st team All American O-Linemen, 3 Big Ten titles.
And I LOVE recruiting...

Re: Madden NFL 06
Well I do think Madden sucks every year, but im not dumb enough to go out and buy it anyways. Yes, the lack of the 2K games this year is depressing, but what choice did they have? EA didnt even give them a chance this year...how long was that rediculous contract anyways? God, im still pissed off about that, and its been months now.

the NFL wanted to sell its exclusive rights. (they wanted $$$). it would have been STUPID for EA not to do it...
curious...why did Madden NFL 2005 suck?

Re: Madden NFL 06
I just picked this up yesterday and I have to say that I do NOT like the new passing system. There are too many buttons ot hit and I have big hands so half the time I end up screwing up one of the button presses and the ball either goes to the wrong receiver or the quarterback's vision switches to someone I don't want to throw to.
The play creation feature has still not been upgraded since it was created 3 years ago. To me, that is one of the game's best features (my running plays are unstoppable), but I'd like to see it expanded and improved upon.
Plus, the menu navigation is still as confusing and frustrating.
I'd have to agree with IGN when they give it the worst Madden score in years.

I got the game on Tuesday and I can't stand the new passing system either. It's just so annoying.

Re: Madden NFL 06
I would agree in that it is more realistic, but at the same time it is still incredibly annoying. And yes, I turned it off a few days ago.
