Re: Nintendo's Superior Hardware
So is it actually better hardware that makes the Gamecube prevail or simply the design and the near-square shape that makes it more durable?

Re: Nintendo's Superior Hardware
As much as I hate to say this but the GCN hardly prevailed this generation. I mean his lost ground to Microsoft of all companies. I mean... no offense to Microsoft fans but with Nintendo being in this industry for a long time to lose a generation to a new comer like Microsoft. And it's not me (fanboy) saying ... it's simply fact when you look at the sales reports, GCN sold less then Xbox's..... its' a fact
So I wouldn't exactly say GCN ... prevailed, rather Survived.

Re: Nintendo's Superior Hardware
No Kyuzo, the link wasn't referring to actual business success, strictly physical durability. If you watch the video, the girl put all three consoles through obstacles like dropping a weight on them and Gamecube survived overall better. Just silly tests, nothing economical.

Re: Nintendo's Superior Hardware
Oh.... well then prevail the GCN has. But I'd say anything as compact as the GCN would be more durable then a flat slim PS2 or the flat larger PS2.
And Don't get me started about "The bigger they are the harder they fall" phrase for the XBX.
Edit: After seeing the video, I realize how flimsy the PS2 hardware is... but it's still a beautiful machine and works wonders.
I highly doubt we'll drop weights, or smash our consoles with a sledge hammer. So this test is just a experiment test and proves nothing really....
No one treats their consoles in this manner......and if they do.... dam them...
