Dinosaurs!
I didn't just feel like posting about dinosaurs, I even have a news item!
http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/2205.html
They found a T-Rex bone with organic tissue in it. Now there are 2 interesting things about this:
1. Scientists "insist that organic molecules cannot survive beyond 1,00,000 years". Were the dinosaurs not as old as we believed?
2. They may extract DNA out of it.
Jurassic Park, here we come!!!
JP is still one of my favorite movies. I love dinosaurs.

Re: Dinosaurs!
While I do not (nor have I ever) have any fascination with dinosaurs, I do think new scientific discoveries are great. This is pretty interesting. To think that we can get a more accurate representation fo what dinosaurs were like is quite an improvement in what we know.

Re: Dinosaurs!
Ah yes, I was discussing this the other day with my chums. It's certainly a hot item.
I suggest we put these dinosaurs on FOX sitcoms.
Oh wait..

Re: Dinosaurs!
My favorite dinosaur in Jurassic Park was the raptor.
In honor of dinosaurs, I present thee with a gift:

Re: Dinosaurs!
They've done similar stuff to Jurassic Park before...through splicing gave a bird teeth and the like.
If they do have usable DNA they'll need to merge it with another animal like they did with that sex-changing frog in the movie. My best bet would be one of those large flightless birds like the one they spliced to get the one with teeth.

Re: Dinosaurs!
Argh, have you seen the episode where the grandma goes to heaven? It was scary. Especially for a kid....

I've been looking for torrents of the show for months. I even found a site that supposedly has episodes available for streams (can't find it anymore) but I could never get it to work.

Re: Dinosaurs!
Looking back,
that show had a lot of "grown up" ideas. There was humor in things that would not normally be seen by children. I still had good times watching it.
