the segway
http://www.segway.com/
Look, they produced way too many of them:
Not that I want one... I mean it would be nice, but I'm not gonna pay much for it.

Re: the segway
I happen to work for the only insurance company which insures those things. Want to know how many I've quoted since I've been here? Zero.

They'd be awesome if they weren't $5000. I might pay $100 for one.

Re: the segway
When a major competitor introduces their own version that costs MUCH less, I'll think about getting one. I want one, but the price is too much.

Re: the segway
I don't like those things... They don't go too fast and they can't travel too far, so why the hell not just walk? Or ride a bike?

Re: the segway
I remembered doing a project about the Segway in Info Tech..
Heh, it was crap back then, and it's crap now..
I can't imagine putting insurance on that. You can't STEAL it. It's impossible. Think of the getaway. You could walk and catch the person.

Re: the segway
I used to want one but the price has steered me clear of ever pursuing one. Their not that cool anyways. Before the inventor released it, everyone was thinking of what the myserious project codenamed 'Ginger' would be. Everyone was thinking it was going to be some amazing, out-of-this-world, revolutionary invention. I was disappointed.

Re: the segway
I think its a neat Idea, and I think the science behind them is interesting. Its cool how they are able to balance themselves. I wouldnt mind trying one out sometime, but I really cant imagine actually owning one, that is inless other people start owning and using one therefore making me look like not so much of an Idiot.

Re: the segway
I dont think society has gotten lazy enough to buy into this whole concept.
I mean why walk short distances when you can pay to buy a machine to do the walking for you?

Re: the segway
I wanted a Segway about as much as i want a nice swift kick in the balls every morning. (why dont they just add a 3rd wheel? Maddox brings up a good point....then they dont need all that balance stuff...) Plus i think they Segway is illegal to ride on they sidewalk where i live, because the (like) 5 people who had one would constantly run into people.

Re: the segway
I saw one today live for the first time when I was at BART. It was being used by a Baskin Robbins representative and it was decorated with Baskin Robbins promotions. I had forgotten about them but after having seen it in action it renewed my sense of desire for one. And now they have 4 different models and three cool colors to choose from! Too bad they're as expensive as (fill in the blank). I'm hoping when I turn into a grown-up I'll have enough money to buy one.

Re: the segway
I'd try to knock him off. And steal his segway. And his money. And.... hm no I wouldn't, I'm too nice for that.
