The Matrix Online
I've just been reading up on it through the wonderful sploog of ads from IGN, and it seems pretty cool. I'm considering getting it when it comes out, or buying the pre-release. I think it will be a fun little game.
What do you guys think? Will it compete with with WoW, or will it be no contest?

Re: The Matrix Online
I think it could be cool. I don't think it'll have as large a fanbase as World of WarCraft does but there's still plenty of Matrix fans. Are there different roles available? Could I play as an Agent if I wanted? And people are able to fight and manuever the same as characters do in the movie, it'll be really cool.

Re: The Matrix Online
The movie I saw was crappy and repetitive. I got into the beta but haven't actually played yet.

Re: The Matrix Online
I saw a show with a 10-15 minute speel on it, and the idea of it sounded cool, but it kind of looked slightly lame.
I dont know, I'll have to try it out or read more on it before I make prejudices.

yeah...same here...
the idea is nice and everything, it's just that they need a lot more options for players to choose from character jobs (ship pilot in the real world, someone from zion, agent, etc...) to how they would look, hair and everything, to stats and what moves they could do.
i don't think they have that many options right now, but if they did it would be cool

Re: The Matrix Online
I was reading some webcomic, probably Penny Arcade, and it had a strip about how most people are probably going to have their character looking as much like Neo as possible, with screen names playing around the theme of "Neo" or "The One" or something.
I thought about it, decided it was undoubtably true, and instantly killed any hopes I may or may not have had about the game.

This way they aren't stealing from the movie.l Because everybody knows that originality comes from awkward spelling.

Re: The Matrix Online
Hehe, good stuff.
Neo, you should give your beta place away! You're not helping anyone like this!
