Reviews
I decided to keep reviews in one thread. Just 'cause.

A Clash of Kings *warning: A Game of Thrones spoilers*
A Clash of Kings is the second novel in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series and the sequel to A Game of Thrones, the first in the series.
ACoK does little more than continue the story introduced in AGoT. Now, I understand that that's the point of a sequel, but while AGoT had surprises and mystery, ACoK was just the natural progressions of events from what happened in the first novel.
Both novels' chapter are separated by whose POV they are in; example: one chapter will be from Bran's POV while the next will be from Tyrion's.
AGoT's different POVs all had something interesting and exciting happening in them. ACoK is different. Only about half of the storylines are continually interesting while the rest have interesting moments, but are fairly boring until you reach those moments.
ACoK also had a bad habit of saying these really surprising and exciting things only to reveal them as false rumors or hallucinations or something. Anticlimactic. Like the author knew he needed something to keep me excited but didn't have anything.
I was most disappointed with Daenerys's storyline. The last chapter in AGoT was in her POV and promised some great things in the next novel. Unfortunately, ACoK never delivers. The dragons do absolutely nothing except be looked at. There's one scene where a dragon breathes fire and is super cool in the way only dragons can be (one of those interesting moments), but that's it.
Daenerys herself doesn't do much either. Her whole storyline seemed like nothing more than a chapter every now in then reminding me she's there.
Slightly pointless.
All in all, I enjoyed the book. Really I did. It just didn't live up to the awesomeness that was AGoT. A Clash of Kings was obviously a "fluff" book; a book that exists for little more purpose than to set up for the next novel.
Despite my disappointment, I look forward to reading A Storm of Swords.

On a separate note: I think George R.R. Martin is a pedophile. Daenerys (13 -14) had sex in the last book and exposes a breast in this book.
We also get to Sansa's (13) first period. It has a point, but its still very very NOT something I wanted to read about.
